🌞JULY🌞
We have had the most amazing July.
The weather has been fantastic and enabled us to get out outside and explore so much.
We have been visiting the seaside lots and even took a ferry ride to point clear where the children collected lots of shells that we took Home and painted.
We have enjoyed meeting friends at the park and meeting our new starters for September.
The children have been watching and watering the cucumbers that we have been growing. They were very excited to pick and eat the first one which we all chopped up and had for snack. 🤗
We have had lots of water play to keep us cool, and we have also explored the new sensory rooms which are themed and have air-conditioning, so great to go and hide in when it’s too hot outside 😊

Lovely trip to the woods this morning with our friends. 🌳
The children had so much fun searching for the Gruffalo and were so excited when we found his den.
Although I think they were a little relieved that he had gone out for the day. 😂
Lots of Team building skills learned today and climbing and balancing.
We also collected stones on our walk which the children threw in to the river at the end to make wishes. 🪄

☀️ JUNE☀️
We have been so lucky with the beautiful weather throughout June. The children have loved spending their days outdoors, enjoying water play and learning different ways to keep cool in the sunshine.
This month we have been learning all about sea creatures, exploring ice through sensory play, and discovering how it melts and changes. We have also been developing our understanding of shapes and colours, incorporating them into a wide range of fun, hands-on activities.
As we move into July, we will continue making the most of the warm weather by taking our learning outdoors, exploring nature, and enjoying lots of exciting summer activities together.😎

🐞MAY🐞
This month we have learnt all about bugs. Bugs are out in force everywhere in the garden and a few of our little ones were a bit apprehensive about sharing the outdoor space with them. So we have been learning about lots of different types of bugs and how they are not as scary as they look.
We have also been looking at farms and farm animals and growing our own cucumbers from seeds. We have also been watching the tractors go past in the field next to the garden. They have been planting potatoes 🪴
The children have enjoyed using the spray bottles to water the plants and discovered using them on the water play Mat to uncover animal silhouettes .
We have also made lots of our own bugs and monsters using home-made Play-Doh.
Great activities to build the children’s fine motor skills.
We visited Colchester zoo and got to see the new baby chimpanzee 🥰 we all love going to the zoo, we always meet our friends there and make a day of it, the children never tire of the train ride 🚂
