The Reception children were given the challenge to create a fire engine using recycled materials. They discussed what features a fire engine has and then got busy selecting a box and covering it with red paper. The children added wheels, a light, a ladder, windows and doors. The children were very proud of their fire engines. Great work Kingfishers.

The Swans had lunch at The Shed in Sproughton to celebrate the end of their WW2 topic. They enjoyed being quizzed by Berty about their topic and had an opportunity to sit inside an air raid shelter and look at the WW2 memorabilia.

The JRSOs encouraged the children and parents to participate in Cycle to School Week. The children experienced physical activity, increased safety awareness and reduced congestion at the school gate as they travelled to school on their scooters and bikes. The children were also encouraged to take part in a design a bike helmet competition. Sarah the Cook picked the winners and said they were all great and it was very hard to choose the winners! Thank you to everyone who took part in Cycle to School Week.
