Happy Hummingbirds

Halloween might be over but the children are still enjoying the pumpkins. 🍁

Conkers. The children adore conkers and there’s so many learning opportunities with them. So far they used them for counting /number recognition, rolling, painting, sensory processing and so much more.

Back at the wonderful The boys had such an awesome time. Tipping and pouring in the mud kitchen, creating magic mud pie’s, swinging in the hammock and collecting sticks to float them in the river at the end. We’ll definitely be back with the gang soon.

Wonderful Wyvenwood. We had the most wonderful time at diddy dragon day. So many things for the children to explore and experience. The sensor session today was great. The goblin slime was a hit!!

We love beach trip days. So many learning opportunities and experiences. The boys had a great time searching for a shark tooth fossil. We found lots of lovely stones and shells but no fossils this time. We talked about the tide and how/why this happens and threw stones into the sea to watch a big splash. So glad the summer is here so we can enjoy more days like today together.

I haven’t posted here for a while as we’ve been super busy welcoming our newest addition. All the children have been wonderful and so excited to meet him. They’ve been really gentle giving him lots of cuddles and smiles. Our littlest hummingbird is so lucky to have so many friends already. Can’t wait to see all the learning adventures the children get up to together.

We created some leaf crowns today to recognise the changing season and to talk about our new king.

Summer holidays have flown by! We’ve been so busy and had so much fun! Here’s a tiny snippet of what the children have been enjoying. Looking forward to the start of a new season and some new starters.

The children have loved exploring our local woods today. They’ve especially enjoyed using our new pocket swing. I’m sure this will be taken everywhere with us from now on!

Petal butterfly wings. We’ve done this activity quite a bit but the children absolutely love it! We’re so lucky to have such wonderful places to find fallen nature on our doorstep. 💐🌸🌹🍁☘️🦋

Washing cars. The boys were so engaged in this. So much fun and lots of learning. They’ve been especially interested in the sola powered water fountain too. 💦💦🌞

We collected colourful fallen petals from our community garden today to make stained glass butterflies. The children loved this and got so excited each time they found a new petal on the ground to stick on. They found different colours, sizes and shapes. They looked lovely hanging up on the washing line on the garden too. 🥰🦋
