BRECHLYN. One of my favourite Welsh words for slightly grim etymological reasons 😅 But the modern message is much simpler.
Flu can be serious for children and can spread quickly through schools, nurseries and families.
For most children, the flu vaccine is a quick, painless nasal spray. School-aged children from Reception to Year 11 can receive the vaccination through school, while two- and three-year-olds are generally offered it through their GP surgery.
And if your child can’t have the nasal spray, they may be able to receive the flu vaccine by injection instead. Getting vaccinated helps protect your child and the people around them.

Gall y ffliw fod yn ddifrifol i blant ac mae’n gallu lledaenu’n gyflym drwy ysgolion, meithrinfeydd a theuluoedd.
I’r rhan fwyaf o blant, mae’r brechlyn ffliw yn chwistrell drwyn sydyn, ddi-boen. Gall plant oed ysgol o’r derbyn i Flwyddyn 11 gael y brechlyn trwy’r ysgol, tra bod brechlyn i blant 2 a 3 oed yn cael ei gynnig trwy Feddyg Teulu.
Ac os nad yw’ch plentyn yn gallu cael y chwistrell drwyn, gallant dderbyn y brechlyn drwy bigiad yn lle. Mae cael y brechlyn yn helpu i amddiffyn eich plentyn a phawb o’i cwmpas.
