A free Welsh webinar, with a bit of a difference.

I’d love people who speak Welsh to come along to one of my usual webinars for complete beginners… and bring someone with you who doesn’t.

A friend, partner, colleague, family member. Whoever!

And if you’re already learning Welsh but don’t feel particularly confident yet, why not do it the other way around? Bring someone who speaks Welsh and watch it together.

The webinar itself is exactly the same one I normally do for people starting from scratch. No previous Welsh needed, no pressure, and nobody’s going to be put on the spot. No cameras nor microphones needed for this session.

The idea is simply to experience it together.

There can sometimes be a bit of a disconnect between people who speak Welsh comfortably and people who are only just beginning. It’s easy to forget how much a new learner can understand, what they can respond to, and how quickly a conversation can suddenly become too much.

This obviously isn’t going to solve all of that in one webinar 😂

But it’s a small start.

The beginner gets a friendly introduction to Welsh, and the Welsh speaker gets a little glimpse at the sort of language a brand-new learner can actually deal with.

Hopefully it gets a few conversations going too.
