🎙️✨ Dora Love Prize Regional Final ✨

We are incredibly proud of our pupils for representing the school at the Essex Regional Final of the Dora Love Prize with their inspiring podcast series, ‘Voices of Inclusion’.

Presenting at Colchester Arts Centre, they confidently shared their journey, reflections and the importance of celebrating diverse voices within our school community. Their professionalism, teamwork and passion made them outstanding ambassadors for the school.

Outstanding ESB Results at Colchester Prep & High School! 🎉

We are delighted to celebrate the fantastic achievements of our pupils in their recent ESB assessments. Certificates were presented during last week’s assembly to recognise their hard work, confidence and dedication.

🌟 An incredible 100% of our 35 candidates achieved Merit or above

⭐ 23% Merit+
👏 28% Merit

We are especially proud of our 15 higher-level candidates, all of whom achieved Merit+ or Distinction, a reflection of the exceptional standards across the school.

A special congratulations to Alexa, Yusuf and Robbie (Year 6) who each achieved Distinction in Level 1 Grade 3, securing a perfect result at this level 🎖️

What an incredible day we had at the All about kids - Colchester Family fest on Saturday! 🎉🎈

We were proud to sponsor the bouncy castle area and loved being part of such a fun-filled community event.

We are thrilled to be helping Year 6 pupils discover the power of STEAM at the 'Step into STEAM' Expo at the University of Essex today!

Pupils from primary schools across Colchester are attending this exciting event focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Maths (STEAM). The goal? To inspire young learners to start thinking about their futures as they transition to secondary school.

Through hands-on, interactive activities, pupils are engaging with employers, asking questions, and discovering exciting career opportunities.

This experience reinforces how great employment opportunities can have a positive impact on health outcomes and future success, and it all starts with curiosity!

Join Us for a Play & Learn Teddy Bears' Picnic!
We are delighted to invite families to a wonderful morning of fun and imagination at Colchester Prep and High School.

Bring along your favourite teddy bear and join us for a special Teddy Bears' Picnic filled with stories, songs, games, and plenty of opportunities to play and explore together. It is the perfect chance for little ones to enjoy a magical morning while making new friends.

At Colchester Prep and High School, our Early Years provision nurtures curious minds through play-based learning, helping children build confidence, creativity, and a love of discovery. Our Teddy Bears' Picnic offers a lovely glimpse into how our pupils learn, grow, and thrive every day.

Whether your child loves joining in with every activity or prefers to take things at their own pace, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

CHAMPION MATHEMATICIANS & POET! 🏆

Our brilliant mathematicians shone bright in the UKMT Junior Maths Challenge with an incredible 55% of Year 6 and 46% of Year 5 pupils earning bronze, silver, or gold certificates. But that's just the beginning!

🥇 A MASSIVE congratulations to Kimmy (Year 6), not only did he secure the highest gold certificate score across the entire school (Prep & Seniors!), but he also earned his place on the Junior Kangaroo.

In addition to this, Kimmy was crowned the Year 5 & 6 winner of the ISA Poetry Competition with his outstanding poem on the theme 'One Day', selected from hundreds of entries nationwide. We also had a number of our seniors who were runners up in this competition so Kimmy will be in good company when he moves through to our senior school.

Angus is joining the East Development Squad, while Freddie has earned a place in the highly competitive East Racing Squad, both on exciting pathways towards national and international competition.
