Today, we are celebrating record breaking GCSE results at Colchester Prep and High School with approx. 60% of all GCSE grades achieved at grades 7-9 (compared with 22% nationally). With a 97% overall pass rate, we are exceptionally proud of our Year 11 pupils and wish them every success with their futures

A huge well done to all our pupils who took Additional Maths (FSMQ), our one-year advanced qualification! With a fantastic 100% pass rate, 50% achieved Grade A and 83% achieved Grades A–B. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and determination.

These outstanding results reflect our school’s strong culture of academic excellence, where high expectations, dedicated teaching, and a commitment to challenging and supporting every pupil help them reach their full potential.

National Athletics Success! 🏅

A huge congratulations to Lexie (Y4) and Reuben (Y6), who travelled to Birmingham to compete in the National ISA Athletics Championships at the iconic Alexander Stadium – a world-class venue that hosts international athletics competitions.

Competing at this prestigious national event for the first time, both pupils delivered outstanding performances. Lexie finished an impressive 6th in the long jump, with a fantastic leap of 2.81 metres, while Reuben secured 6th place in the 150-metre race before narrowly missing out on a bronze medal in the shot put, finishing 4th by just 6 centimetres! 🏅

We are delighted to congratulate Harry in Year 8 on achieving his Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Word Expert qualification at just 13 years old! 🎉👏

This is an exceptional achievement and a rare accomplishment for a pupil of Harry's age. The internationally recognised MOS Word Expert qualification demonstrates advanced skills in Microsoft Word, including complex formatting, mail merge, document automation and macros – professional-level abilities highly valued across a range of industries.

Harry's dedication, hard work and commitment have truly paid off, and we are incredibly proud of this outstanding achievement. Well done, Harry! 👏🏆

At Colchester Prep & High School, children from the age of 2 can join our nurturing Nursery and continue into our Prep School, starting in Reception.
