And the results from District Sports' are in!
A big well done to the learners who competed for Honywood in the district athletics at Tabor on Wednesday. Everyone's effort and behaviour (on a very hot day) was excellent and it was a pleasure to take you there.
Congratulations to the Cohort 7 girls team who came third overall and a special mention to Jessica Jones (200m) and Florence Mead (Shot Putt) who won their A string events and have qualified to represent North West Essex in the county championships next week. And to Estelle Scherer C11 who won her 800m finishing her last event as a Honywood learner a champion!

Honywood has had a great out at the NWESSA district athletics. We have seen some amazing performance and the learners have been so supportive of each other, showing great camaraderie and resilience. It’s been a pleasure to watch them all compete and cheer each other on! Well done to all those involved, Mrs Borella, Mrs Jones and Mr Briggs (team results to be announced in due course)

Today, 60 C10 learners visited the Braintree campus of the Colchester Institute to attend taster sessions in plumbing, carpentry and electrical installation. They had a fantastic day, learnt some new skills and the staff at the college commented on how polite and engaged our learners were in the sessions. Well done to C10 for being such great ambassadors for Honywood.

Over the past week, C7 learners have been visting St Peter ad Vincula Church in Coggeshall in their PRC sessions to learn more about the Christian faith. They explored the various aspects of a church and had time in the grounds looking at the memorials, working through a booklet provided by Mr Tolhurst. Thank you to the staff who supported the visits, and to the learners who were interested and respectful on the visit.
