💛 MEET CLARE – THE PERSON BEHIND OUR PRE-LOVED UNIFORM 💛

You might have seen us mention our pre-loved uniform before, but you might not know about the person behind it all!

Meet Clare Williams, who has been looking after Myland PTA’s pre-loved uniform for the past two years.

Clare sorts and stores the uniform that is kindly donated, keeps track of what we have available and helps families find the sizes and items they need. At the moment, she has plenty of uniform looking for new homes!

It’s a brilliant little service that helps Myland families save money, gives perfectly good school uniform another life and helps reduce waste at the same time. ♻️

Clare is passionate about getting the uniform out of her garage and onto the children who actually need it and we’d really like to help her do that.

So going forward, we will be shining a bit of a spotlight on our pre-loved uniform: what we have, how you can order it, how you can donate and how you can get involved.

A huge thank you to Clare for everything she does behind the scenes. 💛

It’s nearly time for the Myland PTA Spooky Disco! 🎃 Get ready for an evening of music, dancing and Halloween fun!

Our Halloween disco is back for another year! Expect music, dancing and plenty of spooky fun. 🕷️🎶

For now, just save the date — full details, including times and how to book tickets, will be coming very soon.

🙋 We’ll also need some wonderful volunteers to help us make the magic happen! Volunteer slots will be available to sign up for soon, so keep an eye on our socials if you’d like to lend a hand.

📣 SAVE THE DATE – MYLAND PTA AGM!

📅 Tuesday 6th October
⏰ 7:30pm

Our Annual General Meeting is our chance to look back at everything we achieved together last year, share and confirm our plans and event dates for the year ahead. We also hear from the school about their wish list of things they’d love PTA fundraising to help provide.

As a registered charity, we need three named committee positions in place for Myland PTA to continue running, so the AGM is the time we review and appoint to those roles.

But most importantly, everyone is welcome.

Been meaning to get involved but life keeps getting in the way? Come along.
Got a little one who’s just started in Reception? Come along.
Your children are older and you’ve never been involved before? Still come along!
Just curious about what the PTA actually does? You’re very welcome too. 😊

There’s absolutely no expectation that coming to the AGM means signing yourself up for a job. You can volunteer regularly, help occasionally, share an idea, find out more, or simply come and listen.

Whatever capacity you’d like to be involved in, we’d love to see you there.

🎄✨ CHRISTMAS CARD DESIGNS ARE BACK! ✨🎄

We’ve registered with Cauliflower Cards⁠ again this year, giving your child the chance to turn their very own artwork into Christmas cards and other lovely gifts and keepsakes! 🎨❤️

Design forms have been sent home in school bags this week, so please read the instructions on the form carefully and then let your child’s imagination go wild! 🌟🖍️

They make brilliant Christmas gifts for grandparents, family and friends — and every order helps to raise money for Myland PTA. 💙💚💛

👆 Just look at some of last year’s amazing creations! We can’t wait to see what the children come up with this year. 😍

💬 First up — our PTA AGM on 6th October at 7.30pm

Everyone is welcome to come along — you absolutely do not need to be joining the PTA to attend. Come and meet us, hear what we’ve been up to, find out what’s planned for the year ahead, share ideas or simply see what it’s all about.

We really do need all the help we can get, whether that’s joining the committee, volunteering occasionally, helping at one event or just lending a hand when you can. Every little bit makes a difference.

We hope to see lots of you throughout the year! 🌟

As another school year begins, we’re proud to introduce the dedicated team behind the Myland PTA — parents and family members who volunteer their time to help make school life even more special.

Not everyone has a named role, we have lots of support behind the scenes but these named roles are essential to the running of the PTA.
