As today is International talk like a pirate day we did all things pirate yesterday ☠️🦜
We read That's not my pirate and 10 little pirates, then the children got creative decorating their own pirate, they also used paint stickers, markers and dot painters to colour a giant pirate ship.
The pirate small world set with sea animals was a favourite for all!

The children loved creating their own straw, stick and brick houses.
They used the foam bricks to build a house, working together to make it big and strong!

Over the last few weeks our focus has been on Harvest time. Some of the activities we did was apple stamping; colour sorting apples using pom poms; worked our fine motor muscles and counting skills by ball rolling the correct amount of apples to trees and made some delicious smelly pumpkin playdough.

Over the last two weeks we've been focusing on colours and feelings by looking at the book The Colour Monster.

Over the last few weeks we've been learning all abput the life cycle of butterflies. From watching our caterpillars grow big and fat, to making cacoons, to tranforming into beautiful butterflies.
The children have been so loved observing all the changes and were absolutely delighted when they arrived this week to find the butterflies had emerged from the cacoons!
Today we released them in the garden waving goodbye as each one flew away 🦋
