Happy Ducklings Childminding

Talking tots Tuesdays 🌟

The session started as normal with saying/signing good morning and introducing themselves. We also did our usual ball game which the children love.

We signed the song Doctor Foster went to Gloucester and the children did amazingly. Followed by our ready steady go game where they were given 3 blocks and had to build a tower. When they heard the word go they knocked their tower down however Miss Tasha did try to trick them but it didnt work.

This weeks session was continuing on from previous weeks to check the knowledge of the children. However, Miss Tasha added an additional photo in so the children had to do the beginning, middle and end

Of course, they loved the dancing with their animals masks on, bubbles and the story today 🌟

This week, we have been looking at

We have had less items and the children have enjoyed sitting to explore the different items and use them in their own way. I really enjoy open ended play and watching what the children do.

World music day 🎶 is coming up this week so we have been looking at the different sounds the musical instruments make. We have also been using them alongside singing some well loved nursery rhymes.

We also played a game where we had to play them quietly, loudly, slow and fast which the children all loved

Loganberry Lodge visit 🌟

Today, we had a trip to see our grandfriends, the children were all absolutely amazing. They enjoyed exploring the different resources on offer to them and socialising with the residents and members of staff too.

They all left with smiles on their faces and with the residents waving us goodbye 👋

Ladybirds 🐞

This week, we have been looking at the lifecyle of a ladybird and why they are important. The children has enjoyed exploring the different ladybird inspired activities independently and with their friends/myself.

Meet Maisie... my very own childminding assistant 🤣

When I started my childminding journey she was just about to turn 2 and now she is 5 years old. Her special skill is making the children happy and helping mummy.

Watching my two mindees this afternoon get so excited to see her come into the cabin was the best. She loves helping me daily doing tasks or keeping the children entertained.

But honestly I do think childminders children are superstars !!!! 🌟

Maisie has to share her mummy, daddy, the environment, have a gang of children take and collect them from school and also attend her school events. Of course, she is the last child here so always helps me tidy up after the children have gone, prepare for the next day or clean at the end of the week.

Its a massive thing for a child to understand, I am forever grateful for her help and appreciate her so much for this 💜
