🍂 Autumn Term! 🍂

I hope you all had the most wonderful summer, so glorious to see so much sun! ☀️

Sending love to anyone with little people that started school/preschool/nursery. I always deliberately schedule a delayed start to term as I know those first few weeks of transition can be a little bit tough and you might not feel ready to throw classes in the mix.

As you settle into your new routines me and Jo are super excited ahead of next week for Autumn Term fun.

🎶 What happens in a Sing and Sign class? 🎶

⁉️I’m often asked this question and I know that for some not knowing what to expect when doing something new can cause anxiety, especially with an unpredictable little human in tow. So here’s a little information about how our classes run 😊

🙋🏻‍♀️ When you arrive we’ll be there to greet you & welcome you into the room. Wherever the room/venue our Sing and Sign animal mats bring fun and familiarity. You’ll hear some music playing too that’ll you grow to learn and love throughout term 🥰

💛 You’ll be able to choose whichever space you fancy, while you wait (and throughout class!) children aren’t expected to stay on the mats, they are free to explore the room.

🏃‍♀️ Runnning late? That’s ok! You’ll still get a warm welcome. Please don’t apologise!

👋 We start with our welcome song and warm up each week, before we do some shared looking over at our blue board. Here we have some fun with signs and things little people love 🧁💐🐘🦋🐸🐷🚗

🤲 Then we spend some time practising some key signs from our class theme that week.

🐈‍⬛ Next, we are joined by the main lady herself. Jessie Cat! Every week we have so much fun playing peekaboo, seeing her for cuddles & she plays a variety of games with our little people, who ❤️ her very much!

🥁 Then we open our box of instruments & play together, learning lots of keys signs & skills all while having fun. Our children learn & LOVE to help tidy too - I promise it’s true!

🗣We end our sessions with a mix of fun songs from our props bag, supporting our weekly theme and providing opportunity for useful recap.

❌️ There is never any pressure to do anything, follow your child’s lead in class. There is only one request, you devote 45 minutes to engage with them and have fun whilst doing so! 🤩

🏡 At the end of every class we close with our Home songs. Saying goodbye to our friends 👋

Our classes are designed with speech & language experts, planned to offer variety, fun and learning opportunities. Giving you many tools and techniques to continue bonding, practising and enjoying content together at home.

📚 Back to school 🏫

I can’t believe the summer is already over, it’s been a very busy one with my 4 beautiful best friends but we’ve had a wonderful time.

Sending love to everyone that is returning to school this week, and to the little ones that are starting school/nursery. It’s such a big milestone that we are told to feel excited about, but truthfully even I have cried this morning and Sophia is going into year 5 and Olivia year 2 so you’d think I’m hardened now - nope I miss them so much 🥹😭

Although starting school marks a big change for us and them, please don’t let others steal your joy and make you feel anxious about this sense of losing them. I have loved every stage of mine growing, and wish I’d have carried that worry less.

It’s a privilege to grow alongside them, watching them learn and seeing how their toddler quirks morph into insightful questions and interests. Spoiler alert I am still not short of cuddles and kisses either!

Next week we’re back to it with Sing and Sign classes, more to come on that soon but for now - GOOD LUCK all the little and big people.

A trend that is worth jumping on!

Hi everyone and happy summer holidays!

I am forever apologising to everybody at the moment for either being rubbish at socials, replies or generally MIA. Life with four little people is pretty wild.

Classes will be back in September, I promise to share some more information on that soon.

In the meantime, I am busy teaching my littlest how to be extremely clever 🤩

It genuinely does not matter how many times I have seen little children start signing I still think it is incredible and it blows my mind!

Have a wonderful sunny day everyone because let’s be honest you can’t get a tan like Noah by being sat on socials 🤣👌

🐻 NOAH BEAR 🐻

We are so very proud to welcome our baby Noah bear to the world, born on 21st January.

Another beautiful homebirth but this time with all three of our babies present and excited!

Can’t quite believe we are now a family of 6!
