What a fantastic day of athletics! On Tuesday, St Lawrence took part in the annual Partnership Sports Event (Consortium Athletics Competition) at Colchester Athletics Centre, competing against 13 local schools.
Our pupils were simply incredible from start to finish. We witnessed powerful throwing, superb jumping, sensational sprinting, incredible stamina and, as always, tremendous teamwork and encouragement. Their determination and resilience helped us achieve an outstanding second-place finish in our group.
What made us proudest, however, was the way our children supported one another throughout the day, showing kindness, respect and excellent sportsmanship in every event. A huge thank you to all the families and friends who came along to support us and create such a wonderful atmosphere.
Well done to every pupil who took partβyou represented St Lawrence brilliantly. We could not be prouder of you all. What superstars!

Year 4 looked at sculptures of the artist Alberto Giacometti. They shared their thoughts on his work before making their own small statues using tin foil. They supported each other during this challenging task- showing great perseverance.

The St Lawrence Boysβ Football Team played their last home match of the season last week where they played Stanway Fiveways. It was a fantastic match from start to finish with a number of entertaining moments! Another wonderful performance boys, keep it up!
Last term year 5 worked really hard in their computing lessons, learning new skills to create their own vector graphics. They used different tools to create shapes and lines, and layer objects, group and duplicated them to create more complex images. Here are their amazing final creations.... can you spot your child's??

We really enjoyed our picnic in the hall for lunch last week! We love to see children from different year groups and classes getting to know each other, sharing their favourite sports and hobbies, telling each other about their pets and best toys, choosing to sit with their siblings or their friends' siblings. St Lawrence pupils are so caring and supportive of each other!
