🌱🌼 We’re wondering… where are all those wildflower seeds growing? 🌼🌱

Last week, hundreds of little packets headed home with our children and we LOVE imagining them being sprinkled into pots, gardens and little patches of earth all over the place! 🐝🦋

🌍♻️ WHAT. A. DAY! ♻️🌍

Our Year 6 pupils had an absolutely brilliant day at Let’s Talk Trash at Braxted Park Estate on Tuesday! 🙌

They raced, built, created, acted, explored, problem-solved and got stuck into so many different activities – learning loads along the way. But the most important thing they brought back to St Lawrence? INSPIRATION! 💡💚

The day wasn’t just about learning about litter in our environment – it was about inspiring our children to turn that learning into ACTION and realise that they really can make a difference. 🌎✨

It’s been fantastic to see so many children sending in water projects — and even standing up in assemblies to teach others about saving water! 👏💙

They’re working towards completing 10 water projects to earn the exclusive AOC Water Badge! 💧🏅

Year 5 travelled back in time to the Ancient Egyptian this week. They explored hidden tunnels to find treasure and learnt about the life of Tutankhamen. They created clay cartouches- writing their name in hieroglyphics as well as changing themselves into pharaohs!

Year 1 have been doing a super job learning all about the different groups of animals! Today, they had lots of fun playing ‘Guess the Animal’ with their partners. They did a fantastic job describing animals using all their new knowledge about animal groups. We were so impressed with their scientific thinking and vocabulary! Well done Year 1!

What a wonderful start we have had in EYFS! The children have settled in beautifully and have been busy exploring, learning and having lots of fun together.
We have enjoyed getting creative with lots of painting and mark-making, exploring colours and textures, and using our imaginations through play. We have also been developing our early maths skills by exploring numbers, counting, matching and recognising quantities in fun and practical ways.

Our children have loved getting active too, taking on exciting obstacle courses where they have been climbing, balancing, jumping and developing their coordination and confidence.

These first few weeks have been full of smiles, curiosity, friendship and discovery. We are so proud of how well the children have settled into their new routines and we can't wait to see what adventures and learning the coming weeks will bring!
