Isn't nature brilliant?! Even in this drought in Essex, the springs are still creating streams of flowing in the woodland where I train, and wildlife is active around this precious source for drinking and bathing.
Day 5 of training... time to relax and be a chilled Forest School leader... oh, and risk assessments and ecological management plans...
I love it at the point in training when trainees have the confidence and skills to work independently. Social bonds form and the creativity flows 🌱🌳💚
Leaf piñata using fabric instead of plastic bag. We found it worked best with the knot at the bottom and then a pinch of fabric tied onto a rope at the top.

Staying cool under the microclimate offered under the canopy of trees in a woodland and getting to grips with play and exploration of natural (and not so natural) loose parts to create on day one of Forest School Training, with a group of trainees who are full of life knowledge and experience that will help them on their Forest School journey, plus who helps with all my training, and and Lisa from who are from different parts of the UK and training to become trainers. We all survived the heatwave yesterday with .ro water spray (thanks Lewis!) and a dip in the sea nearby after training for some🌱🌳💚🌞🌞🌞

Forest School Training with Cambium Sustainable - Now funded by Universal Credit 🌟
Cambium Sustainable has recently become an approved provider of part-time training, registered with the Department for Work and Pensions.
This means that anyone who is in receipt of Universal Credit and actively seeking work can be fully funded for any of our courses. 🌟
This is arranged directly by Universal Credit through a persons Work Coach.
Cambium will then get a notification and pass your information onto the nearest Associate Trainer in your area. 🌟

Such a beautiful evening in this home from home Forest School site in South Essex for our Essex FSA meet-up last night. The setting was Tipi Woods in south Essex, which was established 10 years ago and offers home education sessions and pre-school sessions for children and their families. We made and cooked pasta that was gluten-free and delicious! There will be more Essex meet-ups arranged soon... watch this space!
