A huge well done to one of my tutees, who was presented with a Headteacher Award this week for her fantastic presentation in maths and for the effort she has been putting into her questions.

It’s so lovely to see all that hard work recognised at school. She should be very proud of herself! 🥰👏

As the summer holidays come to an end, this week or the beginning of next week for some, sees children heading back to school.

I’d like to wish all children, parents/carers and teachers heading back to school a very happy and successful year ahead. Whether children are excited, nervous, starting a new school or settling into a new class, I hope the year ahead is a positive one.

As always, I’m on hand to offer additional support throughout the school year, whether that’s online or face-to-face, through 1:1 tuition or by sharing a session with friends.

If you feel your child could benefit from some additional support with their learning, please feel free to get in touch to have a chat about how I might be able to help. I currently have very limited availability, but please do ask and I'll always see what I can do.

I may have been a little quiet on here, but I've had a busy summer of tuition, both here in Colchester and online, with children even joining me from as far afield as France while on their holidays! 🤩

A special mention goes to Harry, who has joined me for summer holiday only tuition. I've been helping him to keep his learning ticking over during the holidays so that he feels ready and confident to tackle Year 1 next week! 🌟

I'm incredibly proud of all of my tutees who have balanced enjoying their summer holidays with keeping their learning fresh too. Well done, everyone! 💛📚

As we head towards the summer holidays, I wanted to let you know that I’ll be opening up summer holiday tuition sessions to pupils who may not currently have a regular slot with me, but would like some support over the summer break.

Whether your child would benefit from consolidating their learning from this year, building confidence in key areas, or getting a head start on the next year group, summer sessions can be tailored to suit their needs.

Sessions can be booked as one-offs or as discounted block bookings, and I can offer 1:1, 2:1 and small group sessions.

Tuition can take place:
🌼 Online
🌼 At my home in Colchester
🌼 At your home (subject to a travel fee)
🌼 In a community venue such as a library or community centre (venue hire costs will be shared between pupils where applicable)

I was thrilled today to receive this message and photo from Lukas’ mum letting me know how he did on his Friday spellings!
