The children explored their colour knowledge while embracing our Better Together values, working collaboratively to complete a beautiful rainbow ๐ŸŒˆ

They confidently identified each colour and used their fine motor skills to decorate and experiment with a variety of materials to bring their creations to life.

In Purple Room, weโ€™ve been exploring volcanoes as part of our Awe & Wonder programme ๐ŸŒ‹โœจ

The children had so much fun learning about volcanoes from around the world, and of course, the best part was creating our own eruptions using vinegar and bicarbonate of soda!! It was messy, exciting and full of big reactions!

There were lots of smiles, laughter and โ€œwow!โ€ moments along the way ๐Ÿคฉ

Colour sorting fun! ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿคฉ

The children had so much fun with this activity, using their fine motor skills to pick up the pom poms and sorting them into the matching coloured cupcake cases. There was a lot of concentration as they carefully chose where each one should go! ๐Ÿง

We also had some lovely counting along the way, with the children counting each pom pom as they placed it in. A simple, hands-on activity that brought together colour recognition, counting and lots of learning through play ๐Ÿ’›

The children had a very exciting morning in Purple Room! ๐Ÿš“๐Ÿพ

One of our wonderful dads, who is a police officer, arranged a special visit for the children. From the garden, they were able to see the police dog, explore the police car, and watch the lights flash (which they absolutely loved!๐Ÿšจ)

Afterwards, the children learnt all about the important role of a police officer and even had the chance to dress up in uniform themselves. To top it off, everyone received their very own special police sticker to take home.

A huge thank you to our visiting officer for making the day so memorable for our little learners! ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธโœจ

The other evening, Heidi and Emily hosted a brilliant Health & Safety pop up with a special guest, Natalie from Car Seat Ninja! ๐Ÿš—โœจ

Natalie is a car seat specialist who shared fantastic tips on choosing the right seat, fitting it correctly, and keeping little ones safe on every journey.

Our parents loved learning more about car seat safety, and the children had a great time exploring the fun activities set up by the team. A huge thank-you to everyone who joined us! ๐Ÿ’›

Weโ€™ve been exploring our brand new soft play area, and the children have absolutely loved it! They climbed up onto the soft equipment and were fascinated to spot their reflections in the mirror๐Ÿชž

They relaxed on the sensory mats, watching the colours swirl and mix, before climbing over to the soft jigsaw pieces for even more fun.

All of this play has been fantastic for supporting their physical development, and theyโ€™ve had a brilliant time doing it! ๐Ÿ’›

We recently put on our green fingers and explored the kitchen garden! ๐ŸŒž

The children started by chatting about potatoes and where they grow, and then we began hunting for them in the soil! Together, they dug carefully and found four potatoes! ๐Ÿ™Œ

Our garden treasures didnโ€™t stop there, we spotted peas growing too! Leah opened a pod to reveal three tiny peas. Of course, the children had to taste one and they said, โ€œItโ€™s yummy!โ€ ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿซ›

Nicole, Leah & Claire set up a Squash and a Squeeze themed stay and play, and it was a huge hit with children and parents! ๐ŸŽ‰

The children loved crafting adorable farm animals from playdough using lolly sticks, pipe cleaners, and googly eyes ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿท

They also got busy with their fine motor skills, using tweezers to โ€œrescueโ€ the animals from the hay ๐Ÿฅโœจ

And of course, there was plenty of fun dressing up and listening to the story brought to life by our wonderful readers ๐Ÿ“–

Thanks to some brilliant parent suggestions, we explored colours based on what the children love at home ๐Ÿฉท๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’š

The children got creative! They lined up colours like a rainbow, stacking them high, wearing them as โ€œhats,โ€ and even building a giant tower to knock over with a ball!

All this colourful fun helped boost their communication skills, language, and both fine & gross motor skills ๐Ÿ‘
