Today we treated our wonderful team to a special lunch as a small thank you for all their hard work and dedication.
Everyone enjoyed a delicious selection of sandwiches, wraps, cookies, and drinks, and it was lovely to spend some time together.
To our amazing team—thank you for everything you do each and every day. Your passion, care, and commitment make Monkey Puzzle Stanway such a special place for our children and families. We truly appreciate you! 💛

🌟 1 Year – Thank you for an amazing first year Stacey! Your enthusiasm, care of our nursery, and keeping the children’s rooms sparkling! you have made such a positive impact on our Nursery. We're so happy to have you as part of our nursery family.

🌟 2 Years – Congratulations to Michelle & Nikki on reaching your two-year milestone! Your commitment, kindness, and hard work continue to make a real difference every day. Thank you for everything you do to help our little ones learn, grow, and thrive.

In Rainbow Dolphins we have been talking about camping, today we had a campfire, we listened to the crackles of a fake fire on Alexa and discussed how it could be very hot and to be careful, we even had marshmallows to roast while we sang some songs.

Annie brought her head torch and a lantern in in-case it got dark while we were pretending to camp.

Some of us like to go camping in tents and play fun games with our families.
Annie told the children how she has a tent to go away in but her sister has a caravan.

We have had lots of fun this summer in Starfish. We have explored a range of activities such as ice, water play and beach themed tuff trays. The children have also done lots of garden play enjoying the beautiful sunshine we have had over the past couple of weeks. We filled up the water tray in the garden, placing blocks, cups and water wheels inside. Encouraging scooping and pouring whilst developing fine motor skills. We have learnt about putting sun cream and hats on during the hot weather, encouraging the children to keep on their hats and help us to put on their sun cream. Encouraging the children to drink plenty of water to keep them hydrated. The children have enjoyed splashing in the water tray, enjoying lots of water and ice activities to keep them cool during the heatwave. We have spoken about the sun and going to the beach. Setting up a beach tuff tray, talking about sand and sea animals, creating the different sounds they make, whilst encouraging the children to feel the different textures. We can’t wait to enjoy even more sunshine and play outside this summer!

What a fantastic morning we had celebrating our Monkey Puzzle School Leavers' Sports Day! 🌟🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Our wonderful children showed so much enthusiasm, determination, and team spirit, and we couldn't be prouder of each and every one of them. From the races to the smiles, it was a morning full of laughter, fun, and unforgettable memories.

A huge thank you to all our parents and families who came along to cheer on the children and take part in the parent race. Your support and encouragement made the morning even more special.

As our nursery leavers get ready for their next adventure at school, we wish them every success and happiness. We are so proud to have been part of their journey and can't wait to see all they achieve.

Today we’re celebrating a very special milestone — Ellie’s 2‑year anniversary at Monkey Puzzle Stanway!
Ellie brings kindness, creativity, and a whole lot of joy into our nursery every single day. The children adore her, the team appreciates her, and we’re so grateful for everything she does.

Thank you, Ellie, for two wonderful years. Here’s to many more!

I just want to say what a credit Sam is (baby room), she was Evie's key worker and she was/is much liked by Evie and myself. I felt very safe leaving Evie with her and that's all you want as a mother. It was so lovely having a key worker who I felt really cared about my daughter and still does, even now I feel Sam really shows she cares when we see her. (all your staff are lovely) but I just wanted to email and say Sam and all your staff's kindness doesn't go unnoticed so thank you!

Monkey Puzzle Stanway and Colchester staff went to Thorpe Park this weekend.
Wow what a scorcher it was but everyone had a blast. Great opportunity for the team to bond together outside of work, many of whom have amazing friendships with each other.

What a fantastic afternoon we had celebrating Father's Day at Monkey Puzzle Stanway!

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful dads and grandads who joined us for our Father's Day BBQ. It was lovely to see so many families enjoying delicious food, fun activities and spending quality time together.
