Kingswood Adventures: Last night after beach walk, Year 6 limbered up for Mini Olympics. This morning they were up early and on the beach again by 7am. All went to their group activities today, only stopping for lunch and tea. Tired sleepyheads tonight π€

Year 6 enjoying their first beach walk in sunny Norfolk!
(Parents, pls note we will do our best to put some photos on Facebook. However, the mobile phone signal is really poor at the centre. As an example, Mr Billings sent these photos by WhatsApp at 4.30pm yet I have only just received them. The staff are busy supervising your children and making sure they have the best experiences, forgive them if they are not running down the lane to pick up a better mobile signal to send photos. Mr Billings says everyone got stuck in with the first activity and they are all unpacked in their rooms - Mrs Bourne)

Attention for all SJG EYFS parents
Wondering what to do with that short amount of time between drop off and pick up while theyβre settling in this week?
The PTA are hosting a coffee morning for Foundation parents to meet/get together this Wednesday morning, straight after drop off in the small hall at Abbey Field site.
Whether youβre a new parent at the school or have children in older year groups already, please come and join us.

Welcome back to all children, staff, parents and governors today.
Parents - did you ask your children what they did today? If they are in Years 1-6 (thatβs 540 of them), we celebrated our 125th Anniversary today at Town site.
Mr Billings dressed as Mr Cheese, the first Headteacher from 1898. He gave a speech - it was the original speech that Mr Cheese gave to the new students, staff and the school board. Then we moved to another playground and had an aerial photo taken from a drone.
An eventful day as we continue to celebrate our school and local heritage with One Square Mile: Heritage on our Doorstep.
The photo will be available to purchase soon.

On 5 September 1898, 125 years ago today St John's Green Primary opened the doors to staff and pupils for the first time. Headteacher, Mr Cheese and his team of eight teachers and four pupil teachers, welcomed 413 Juniors. Miss Taylor welcomed 254 children in the Infants. Mr Cheese reports that the school is well furnished with maps, books and other equipment.
