📸 Pier to Pier Walk! 🚶‍♂️🌊

On Monday, an incredible team of 104 students took on the 7-mile challenge from Walton Pier to Clacton Pier! They absolutely smashed it, all to raise vital funds for Children with Cancer UK 🎗️✨

We have already received some incredibly generous donations, and we are so grateful for your support! Keep your eyes peeled—we are still counting it all up and will update you with the final fundraising figure SOON! 💸🎉

🌟 So incredibly proud of our Year 10 Hospitality & Catering students! 🌟

On Tuesday our talented Year 10s absolutely knocked it out of the park catering for the Awards evening.

We had an amazing team working hard behind the scenes to prep and style this beautiful spread throughout the day, and a dedicated crew stayed behind to serve it with professionalism and bright smiles! From the vibrant fruit kebabs to the impeccably styled charcuterie pots and blueberry desserts, their attention to detail was unmatched.

This week, we were incredibly proud to welcome Colchester’s own Olympic medallist, Lewis Richardson, to speak with our students about his journey.

Lewis shared his inspiring story, from first taking up boxing to stay fit for football, to focusing fully on the sport after early success in the ring, and going on to represent Team GB on the Olympic stage. His journey has included dedication, setbacks, resilience and the determination needed to perform at the very highest level.

As a Paris 2024 Olympic bronze medallist and now a professional boxer, Lewis gave students a powerful message about ambition, hard work and never giving up on your goals.

A huge thank you to Lewis for taking the time to visit us and inspire our students. 🌟🥊

This July, our students and staff are teaming up to raise money for three amazing causes: St Helena Hospice, Colchester Food Bank, and Children’s Cancer.

🚶‍♂️ Monday 6th July: Year 7 – Pier to Pier Walk
Our Year 7s are kicking things off by stepping up for charity! They’ll be taking on a scenic Pier to Pier coastal walk. Make sure to wish them luck and cheer them on!

🏐 Wednesday 8th July: Year 9 – Charity Day
Year 9 is bringing the energy with two massive events:

Staff vs. Students Netball: Who will take home the bragging rights this year?

Teachers & Staff Hide and Seek: Can the students track down the teachers hiding around the grounds?

🎪 Friday 10th July (1:30 PM - 4:00 PM): The Grand Finale!
We are wrapping up the week with an afternoon packed full of classic stalls and games:

We are proud to celebrate a fantastic achievement in this
year’s Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge Regional Final, where
Nora achieved an outstanding third place - the first time our

school has ever placed in the competition.

In a powerful and deeply personal speech, Nora spoke about
her experiences living with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder,
delivering an honest and courageous message that made a
lasting impression on both the judges and audience.

We are incredibly proud of the maturity, confidence and
integrity she showed in representing the school so brilliantly.
