Underdog Crew

Underdog Crew The Underdog Crew youth empowerment project. Inspiring young minds through the power of filmmaking and creative pursuits. But I overcame it.

UNDERDOG CREW STUDIOS

DB Morgan’s Underdog Crew studios

As a mental health survivor, anxiety sufferer and general all-round underdog, DB Morgan is proud to welcome under-represented and minority groups into all his filmmaking exploits. Having trialled his ‘youth involvement project’ during the shoot of his 2010, MTV competition winning, short film, ‘Subject 3’ he quickly learned that everybody has something to offer in a creative environment and crew members on the autism/asperger’s spectrum especially came away empowered and motivated from their experiences on set. UNDERDOG CREW EMPOWERMENT THROUGH:

Building confidence through teamwork! A nurturing environment to develop new creative ideas. Encouragement, guidance and signposting into further learning. Self sufficiency/responsibility through daily rota’d lunch cooking Taking ownership of choices based around positive actions

“When I was younger, I never really believed in myself, I never really had confidence in many things. From issues from my childhood. My parents suffer from mental illness and it was really tough. I always felt like I couldn’t achieve anything, and I have nothing to show to the world. I had a dark stage in my life dealing with a lot of suicidal thoughts. This team and film have given me a sense of purpose, and the title alone just shows how I feel now in life. After dealing with a lot of stuff and gradually picking myself up. This experience has given me faith.”

🔥 ONE WEEK INTO THE BUNKER BUILD… 🔥 …and the transformation is well underway.

This Saturday, we’re ready to welcome our PROJECT interns into the studio to begin turning the space into a fully realised cinematic vision of surviving the apocalypse for our debut feature film production: 🎬 PREPPER

WE HAVE 3 SPACES LEFT!!!! Ages 13 to 18 (SEN welcome) An accredited 8-month feature film production internship!

Our PRE-VIS gives a flavour of where we’re heading visually — muted autumnal colours, worn textures, practical survival detail and warm, atmospheric lighting to create a bunker that feels genuinely lived-in rather than simply “dressed”.

This isn’t just about building a set.

Our young creatives will be getting hands-on with production design, set dressing, props, lighting, continuity and the practical problem-solving that goes into creating a believable film world from the ground up.

And this is only the beginning…

📻🔥 OUR FIRST BRAND PLACEMENT SPONSOR! 🔥📻 A HUGE THANK YOU to Mark at Charlie Bravo 10-4 - www.charliebravo10-4.co.uk

Mark and the team have come onboard as "Official Comms Sponsor" for PREPPER, supplying the CB radio kit that our young survivors will rely on to try and stay connected with the outside world as the apocalypse grows around them.

And this isn’t just background dressing. The CB setup will be a working, regularly used part of the film, becoming one of the survivors’ vital links to whatever — or whoever — may still be out there.

We absolutely love creative partnerships like this. Real businesses. Real equipment. Real product integration.

And a professional film production giving young emerging filmmakers the chance to learn their craft for real.

Mark... thank you for believing in and being the very first company to officially come aboard.
Welcome to the apocalypse. 😈📻

** For AI haters. Conceptual pre-visualisation is a great use of AI where there is no budget for conceptual artists. So don't hate on us. We have no budget for anything at this stage! No AI will feature in the finished movie.
