Pierced using ProBodyArt.com supplies and all Junipurr Jewelry components 🪞

We LOVE some juicy angles. I love how these look closer at the front but further apart at the back; this is deliberate to accommodate the natural curves of the cartilage and maintain 90 degrees on entry and exit.
Also, if you look closely, you can see how quickly this clients body responded to the trauma of being pierced. Inflammation has flooded the area and the process of wound healing has begun 🧬

I am obsessed with the gold but the ‘boring’ stuff really is the most fascinating part of my day most of the time; Angles, a simple pairing of titanium, immune responses, troubleshooting - it really does tickle my brain.

If you’ve been eager to book for October, now’s your chance.. The new website has been launched!

My adhd brain took longer than expected to get this transferred but we got there 💪🏼
Everything is pretty much the same: a couple of new services have been added, a few updates to the site but navigation will be familiar.
Most excitingly, a new online store is coming soon! The process has already begun and I am uploading products as we speak. The aim is to get this up by the end of October, in time for Christmas 🎁

Bookings can be made up to 30 days in advance 🫶🏼

Although I’m not due a price change, I have adjusted the price of my downsizing. It wasn’t financially viable to keep offering a double discount on it; £15 bar discounted to £10 as well as no fitting fee (my fitting fee is £10).
It’s still discounted for my clients don’t worry! But it’s now £15 instead of £10.
I will honour anyone who I’ve pierced and quoted the £10 (last date for old downsize price will be the 23rd November so make sure you get your downsizes on time!).

Please bear with me whilst I get used to the new system, il try keep any hiccups to a minimum.

What? You think I went to the UKAPP conference, bought all you lot stunning new jewellery and didn’t get something for myself? Please 🤚🏼

I went all out with some Modern Mood Body Jewelry • Natural & CZ Piercing Jewelry 🌟 and it really is serving.

In current movements of reclaiming women’s rights, it is important to reclaim the words used to repress us. Words hold so much power and the majority of anatomical terms regarding women’s genitalia are either created by men or used to cause offence.
How can we move forward when we are still subject to the misogyny of eponyms and the origins of our anatomical names?
Va**na: Sheath/Scabbard. Designed to hold a sword.
The H***n: Greek mythology. A tie to marital status, virginity and ownership by a man.
Pudendum (synonym ‘vulva’): “To be ashamed”, ‘shameful parts’.
Eponyms (named by/after their male ‘discoverers’): G-**ot. Fallopian tubes. Bartholin’s Glands. Skene’s Glands etc.
It’s all very outdated and nauseating.

C**t. Once medical terminology, now weaponised and a huge taboo. Its origins? Up for debate but never linked to misogyny.
Turned ‘slur’, this word was then used to repress women. Reducing our entire identity to our anatomy, stripping women of their humanity and autonomy then being treated as nothing more than a body part to be used at a mans disposal.
It’s an ongoing battle to change its meaning, from feminists fighting the shame around our bodies, to the ballroom scene and q***r community turning it into a symbol of autonomy and feminine energy. The modern piercing movement was built on the same principles so adorning myself with defiant, unapologetic jewellery is an absolute honour.

It makes total sense that the most powerful word in the English language is linked to women. Maybe that’s why it’s being censored.

THIS is why anatomy checks are so important.

At first glance, the idea of two vertical helix’s seemed unrealistic; the helix ridge was fused together most of the way round and the felix area thinned out quite high up.
Trying to line two 90 degree angles without them clashing into eachother (WITH spikes) was tricky to envision.
I would say I was 85% sure two wouldn’t work upon first glance, after an extensive marking sesh we found the one and only placement! Those spikes are literally brushing against each other, no pressure is being applied but it’s super close. We’ll keep an eye on it and switch to smaller ends if necessary but the end goal is to flip the spikes up top 👌🏼

I dread to think how many people out there think they don’t have the anatomy for something because one piercer has told them it’s not possible.
This isn’t me saying don’t trust your piercer, but countless times I’ve encountered sad clients with a distant dream. This is why when I turn clients away for something I ALWAYS recommend reputable piercers who can give a second opinion.
I am one piercer in a world of many talented piercers with different experiences and knowledge, just because I’m not comfortable with something it doesn’t mean it’s not possible.

Gold Drip in yellow gold by Buddha Jewelry 💫 for one of my fave clients.
Paired with Junipurr Jewelry mirror polished labrets, anodised in house (swipe to see juicy angles).

This was such a fun lil challenge to get marked up. Precision really was key here and there was lots to consider; would the chain be long enough to clear the snug? Are the angles going to make the labrets bash at the back? Will the placement allow the jewellery to dangle nicely? Is there even a placement that’ll accommodate two 90 degree angles connected by a chain? Why is there a blood vessel there?!

There are no definites, it’s a lot of visualising and honing in on all education/experience received to date. Marking up using as many techniques as I have in my toolkit. It was a challenge but I love anything that makes my brain tick and the end result was worth it.

I couldn’t have been happier when the message came through requesting a fresh daith with this jewellery (of course it was Kiri Henday who else 🤷🏼‍♀️).

Although possible to do all 3 at once we decided against it.
We assess many factors when deciding which (if any) additions are appropriate; how many piercings are currently healing? Do you have fresh piercings on both ears? Have you ever had any cartilage piercings before? What is your general health/healing like? Etc etc.
These questions may be boring and it’s hard to hear no sometimes but it is a big part of your consultation/anatomy checks prior to piercing. The last thing you want to do is overload your body with too many things to heal at once and I’m here to make sure we have lifetime results!

So, we started with one, we’ll keep a close eye on everything healing then potentially add one or two more in a few months time.
I’m also not opposed to adding spikes on your vertical helix’s, however, the flat back will be on top and spike on bottom to avoid accidental snags - once we have assessed healing in a few months we can flip them the other way round.

Appreciate you all seeing the vision and having the patience/understanding required to heal fun projects like these!
