Mrs Herron and Birch class had the most magical Friday with their first forest school session!! 💚 🌳 😊

The children enjoyed exploring the see-saw, the rope swing in the tree and of course digging in the mud! 🪏

So much fun, laughter and play!!! 😊

The children in Year 2 have been having fun with fruit and vegetables in their art lessons this half term!!! (You read correctly!!!)

The children have been inspired by Arcimboldo who produced art including images of fruits and vegetables from the seasons in his portraits .

✍️ The children first produced their fruit faces using actual fruits and vegetables as part of a group, then they sketched the photograph and today they painted their sketches!! Wow!!! 🤩

Well done to our amazing artists!! 🧑‍🎨 🖼️

Remember the Colchester Gazette’s Book token competition (we won 1st prize!!! 🥇)

Well they are running a new competition to win £10,000 worth of LEGO Education resources!!!!

We will be collecting these tokens and hopefully we win BIG again!!! ☺️☺️☺️

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ The children in the Lodge have had their first PE session! 🥳

The children transitioned amazingly well into the hall and were fantastic at exploring all of the different equipment. There were lots of opportunities to climb, balance, crawl, jump and move our bodies in all sorts of different ways.

😄 The children were so brave and were more than happy to take on the equipment with huge smiles and plenty of confidence!

It was so lovely to see everyone getting involved in their own way, building confidence and having lots of fun. There were lots of smiles, lots of exploring and lots of happy little faces! 🥰

What a brilliant first PE session, Lodge! ⭐️💚
