The children in Maple class are busy getting ready for Year 2 with some super work in English! ✍️

Today they used the green ‘improving pens’ 🖊️ and edited their work to make changes.

Well done children- what a super skill you are learning! ☺️❤️

We are thinking about Refugee Week this week.

Refugee Week is the world’s largest arts and culture festival celebrating the contributions, creativity and resilience of refugees and people seeking sanctuary.

This years theme is: courage.

The children in Chestnut class have produced some amazing writing linked to the story ‘The Gingerbread Man’

They have used a class story map to orally retell the story before beginning their writing! ✍️

Well done to our fabulous reception children- you are certainly all showing you are getting ready for year 1! 👏

The children in Willow class are enjoying their dance lessons this half term. The dance unit is based on ‘toys’. 🧸

This week the children were dancing as a range of different puppets- with Mrs Dines acting as the puppet master!

The puppets they danced as were: ragdolls, 🤡 clowns with big feet , ✈️ aeroplanes, 🩰 ballerinas, 🐉 dragon kites and 🧙 witches on broomsticks! 🧹

The children performed sequences of movements and incorporated balances too!
