Well done to the children that tool part in this year’s School Garden Competition in Culver Square.
This year’s theme was to represent the World Cup in a garden. We brainstormed our ideas in gardening club and talked about colours we would want to use red for Cherry Tree and white for footballs.
The group also enjoyed the opportunity to visit the bees with Dave. It was a lovely addition to the day,
The People's Choice Award is now open and will run throughout the summer holidays.
Please go into Culver Square to see the gardens and cast your vote. There is a QR code on the garden or you can follow the link to vote. https://www.childrensgardeningcoach.co.uk/vote. Please encourage everyone you know to vote for Cherry Tree!
There are eight entries in total and it would be fantastic to win.
The People's Choice Award winner will be announced in September – thanks for your support.

Year 6’s performance of Peter Pan was amazing!
Watching the children bring Neverland to life, from the Lost Boys and the mermaids to Captain Hook and Mr Smee, was a joy from start to finish. The singing, the acting and the confidence they all showed on that stage was fantastic!

We were all very impressed with the bands that played in the iROCK concert last Thursday.
Tiny Riot opened the show looking super cute. All the bands played brilliantly using great musical skills and played to the audience. The highlight was the performance of Ordinary by Alex Warren which included a very complicated change of genre in the chorus to ska using their syncopated rhythm skills which is very complicated for a musician to do. Well done to all the children that took part.

What an amazing time everyone had at the school disco last week – both the KS1 and KS2 danced and danced, despite the heat!
Party Dude was fantastic as always and kept everyone entertained along with Michael Jackson!

Year 4 have been learning about balanced diets and designed their own healthy wraps. They carefully planned their recipes, considered flavour combinations and presentation, and developed important food preparation skills. Seeing their designs come to life was a fantastic and fun experience, and they were incredibly proud of their delicious creations, judging by the way they rapidly devoured them!

What a fabulous time we had at the KS1 & KS2 sports days.
Despite very hot weather Year 6 Sports Leaders helped organise events, supporting younger pupils to ensure the day ran smoothly. They demonstrated great responsibility and were excellent role models for the rest of the school. A particular well done and thank you must go to Mr Russell for all of his hard work in organising Sports Day and ensuring everything ran so smoothly. Thank you to all parents and family members who came along to support the children.
