There is a large outbreak of measles in children in North London. Some children have been hospitalised. Our proximity to the capital means there will be cases of measles in Essex children. If you are a parent or guardian of a child who is not up to date with vaccinations now is the time to get your child protected. This can be done by contacting the East of England community and school-aged immunisation service on 0300 555 5055 or though their GP practice. Advice to parents on measles can be found on the Government webpages and general information on measles is available on the NHS webpages.
