As well as tutoring in Maths and English, we teach music and have lots of fun learning many different types of songs. This year we learnt twelve songs and corresponding dance moves (!) so that we could give the children the opportunity to go to Wembley Arena and join 6,000 other children at the Voice in a Million concert. We all had an amazing time!

We are incredibly proud (and can't quite believe!) that The Learning Tree has now been up and running for 2 years! We have enjoyed every minute of it and are incredibly grateful to the families who have entrusted their children to us, to support them on their home educating journey. The children have been enthusiastic, energetic and lovely to work with and we are very excited for whatever next year brings. Wishing you all a lovely summer break. See you in September! Following the Montessori way of teaching, the children at The Learning Tree use their hands to learn, whether it is, among many other things, feeling the difference between how light a unit cube is compared to a huge thousand cube or being able to build words with wooden letters, moving them around as necessary. It makes learning fun and it really works! Come and visit us and see for yourselves!

We have reached the end of another great half term. The children have, once again, worked hard and made great progress and continued to cement their friendships. In maths, the focus this term is on measure and data handling. The children are really enjoying asking each other what their favourite food and colours are and turning the results into pictograms/tally charts/bar charts! They are also enjoying measuring things in the classroom and each other! We hope they all have a lovely week off. See you back on Tuesday 6th June!

At The Learning Tree we celebrate the children as individuals. We plan work for them on an individual basis, support them with anything they find tricky, stretch them in areas where they want to learn more and give them the freedom to repeat the work they do.
