If you’ve suffered stairway shenanigans or tripped on tinsel, you can go to our website to find free first aid advice. From broken bones, to dislocated joints, no matter how you land we’ve got you covered.

If you’ve sprained or strained a bone or joint:

💤 R – Rest the injured part

🧊 I – Apply an Ice pack or cold compress

🛏 C – Provide Comfortable support.

⬆ E - Elevate

After using the RICE method, advise the casualty to rest. If the pain is severe or they cannot move the injured part, seek medical advice. 🦴

Today we had volunteers at the Bilbrook Parish Council service of Remembrance.

Thank you to everyone in the community and our local groups and businesses who came to our remembrance service today.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning.

We will remember them.

This week, in aid of week working with St John Ambulance - Pendeford and the Resuscitation Council UK we've hosted 6 out of the 73 events hosted nationwide, collectively teaching thousands of people how to perform and use and .

With plenty more events still to come throughout October!

Last night we had a great turn out and were able to train 21 members of the community with new lifesaving skills and the ability to be confident enough to Restart a Heart through CPR and AED training.

Less than 1 in 10 people survive cardiac arrests outside of hospital, and we want to help people feel confident using a defibrillator to increase survival rates in local communities.

In support of Restart a Heart Day, throughout October, St John Ambulance is running FREE CPR and AED Training Sessions where you and your family can learn the lifesaving skills of CPR and how to use a defibrillator.

This helps communities gain basic resuscitation skills, increasing the number of people surviving out-of-hospital cardiac arrests.
