Joanne Scott - Singing Teacher & Classical Singer 'Find Your Voice' with local professional vocal teacher Joanne Scott. Sing with a more confidence and technique.

With extensive experience teaching privately, I teach a wide repertoire of music and have trained experienced performers looking to develop their voices further as well as beginners whose main aim is to enjoy their singing. I teach one to one lessons to children and adults in a purpose-built music room. For those who wish to work towards a qualification I use various exam boards such as the Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music, London College of Music and Trinity Guildhall. Pupils can choose from Musical Theatre or Classical Singing Exams. I have a PGCE and have worked as Head of Music in Secondary Schools, and with this knowledge have successfully prepared many pupils for GCSE and A-Level performance exams. I am a classically trained Mezzo-Soprano and have performed opera, musical theatre and oratorio professionally across the UK. I understand the importance of relating to an audience and work on building confidence so that singers can fulfil their potential. Lessons can be booked on an individual basis or as a block as a gift for a loved one. There are also opportunities to record your own voice! I also need to add that Emily Stewart who is only 13 years old showed her acting skills off to add to that wonderful voice. Emily has been offered a place at the RNCM Junior School starting this September, studying classical voice. What a week..smiles all round!

Huge congratulations to pupils Madeleine Healey and Emily Stewart who I saw in Cabaret last night at RNCM Youth Perform. I was so proud - Madeleine made her impressive debut as Sally Bowles, all singing, dancing & acting. A bright future ahead. Our Wednesday mornings won't be the same! If you get a chance, they've added a matinee performance on Saturday as RNCM Engage's production sold out so fast.

Only a week to go so rehearsals tomorrow at the venue St John's Church, Heaton Mersey, SK4 3BR. Looking forward to hearing Eve and Beatrice singing their duet Pie Jesu, beautiful! Tickets on the door on the night of the concert (5th Dec) but if you want any in advance just let me know.
Of course the day of the 5th will be pretty hectic as my son Sam is one of Santa's elves at Didsbury Road Primary School's Christmas Fair from 12-2. Busy, busy.... x
