Year 3 had a fantastic day on their trip to Carlisle, visiting Carlisle Castle and Tullie House. During the visit, the children compared Carlisle with Cockermouth, thinking carefully about the similarities and differences. They showed great enthusiasm and curiosity throughout the day. Well done, Year 3 – you were all super! 🏰✨

Our Year 5 and 6 pupils had an incredible two afternoons at Derwent Water Marina, taking part in a range of exciting water sports activities. Year 5 had the chance to kayak, paddle board and canoe, whilst Year 6 built on their experience from last year and had a go at sailing. The children embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm, determination and plenty of smiles!

A huge thank you to the staff at Derwent Water Marina for providing such a fantastic experience and helping to create lasting memories for our pupils.

πŸšπŸ“š Reception had a fantastic time taking part in an online lesson today!
We enjoyed Zog and the Flying Doctors, read by real-life air ambulance crew members. We were also delighted to hear from Julia Donaldson, who introduced the story, and Axel Scheffler, who gave a wonderful live drawing demonstration.
A truly inspiring experience for our young readers! βœ¨πŸ“–πŸš

Wow! What a fantastic day our Reception children had on their trip to the aquarium yesterday! 🐠🌊

We learned so much about the amazing creatures that live in the sea and enjoyed exploring the exhibits. Afterwards, we headed to the beach in search of real treasure and scanned the horizon for pirate ships! πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈβš“

To finish off our adventure, we enjoyed a visit to the park, where everyone had lots of fun playing together.
We had a brilliant day out and made some wonderful memories. A huge thank you to all of our parent helpers for their support, we couldn't have done it without you!
