Last night was a good start. β½π¦
So β where will you be watching the next one?
What will you be eating? And who will you be sharing it with?
Because if there's one thing the World Cup teaches us every four years, it's that football is always better shared β good food, good company, and somewhere comfortable to gather round.
That's exactly what π©ππ²πππΏπΌ was made for. A grill table designed for social cooking and eating β built for exactly these moments, whether it's match day, a Saturday in the garden, or just an evening with people you love.
Tell us in the comments β what's on the menu for the next game? π

This year's Pantone Colour of the Year is Cloud Dancer β a soft, billowy white imbued with serenity. π€
And it got us thinking β colour matters more in a garden than people often realise. The right shade of planter can completely transform a space, tie a scheme together, or simply bring a sense of calm to a corner that needs it.
The best part? You don't have to choose from a limited shelf of options.
Our bespoke planter service includes full RAL colour matching β meaning we can create your planters in absolutely any colour you choose. Cloud Dancer, a shade from your favourite cushion, the exact tone of your front door β if you can specify it, we can match it.
Soft greys, muted neutrals, bold statement colours β the palette is entirely yours to choose.
Come and see our range in store, and let's talk about creating planters that are made exactly for your space. π¨

π³ TREE OF THE WEEK π³
New! Each Tuesday, our resident tree expert Don will pick out one tree he thinks deserves your attention β and this first week, he didn't hesitate.
This week's pick: Amelanchier β also known as June Berry, or snowy mespilus.
"Most trees have one good season," says Don. "This one has four β and that's exactly why I keep recommending it."
Star-shaped white blossom in spring, arriving at the very same moment as bronze-flushed young leaves. Purple-black berries the birds adore through early summer. Calm green foliage all summer long. Then a final, fiery flourish of orange, amber and red come autumn.
It's slow growing, easy to care for, and genuinely happy in most Surrey gardens β making it just as suited to a small front garden as a larger border.
Don's verdict? "If you've ever seen one and thought 'I need that' β now's the time. We've got a small number of really lovely specimens in at the moment, and they won't be around for long."
Come and let Don talk you through it in person β he could talk about this tree all day. π³

We've been wandering around Cedar Nursery with a camera and an eye for detail, and what we found stopped us in our tracks. Colours, textures and shapes that feel like they belong somewhere far more exotic than Surrey.
Leaves that belong in a rainforest. Flowers that look hand-painted. Planters that make you stop and stare. Table settings that make you want to sit down immediately. Cushions in colours you didn't know you needed. Benches built to last a lifetime. Pergolas that turn a garden into a destination.
All of it here. All of it waiting for you.
Come and look closer. You might be surprised what you find. πΊ

The clue was always in the name. π
Hydra β from the Greek for water. And right now, after all that very British summer rain we've been grumbling about? Our hydrangeas have never looked happier.
While the rest of us were reaching for our umbrellas and wondering what happened to June, the hydrangeas were quietly lapping it up β putting on the most extraordinary show of blooms in response.
Big, blousy, abundant and absolutely breathtaking. This is their moment and they know it.
If you've been thinking about adding hydrangeas to your garden, there is honestly no better time to come and choose yours β when they're in full flower you can see exactly what you're getting. No guesswork, just pure summer colour. πΈ
Come and find them at Cedar Nursery .

If you haven't discovered Physocarpus yet, consider this your introduction. πΏ
Part of the rose family and commonly known as Nine Bark, this stunning shrub is one of the most dramatic and versatile plants you can grow in a British garden β and yet most people have never heard of it.
Named for its extraordinary peeling, layered bark, it brings year-round interest β from its striking foliage in deep burgundy or lime green, to clusters of pretty summer flowers, to those remarkable stems in winter when everything else has gone quiet.
Hardy, easy to grow, and genuinely beautiful in every season. The kind of plant experienced gardeners get very excited about.
In stock now at Cedar Nursery β come and see it for yourself.

Have you met the Feijoa? We'd be surprised if you have β because you won't find this one at your average garden centre. πΏ
Also known as the Pineapple Guava, this extraordinary evergreen shrub is one of our current favourites. Exotic looking, surprisingly hardy, and genuinely multi-talented β it produces beautiful red and white flowers in summer followed by fragrant, edible fruit with a flavour that's somewhere between guava, pineapple and mint.
Yes, really.
Perfectly happy in a sheltered sunny spot in a Surrey garden, it's the kind of plant that stops visitors in their tracks and has them asking "what on earth is THAT?" π
We love it. We think you will too. Come and find it in store at Cedar Nursery.
