Today, 27 years on from the tragedy at Dunblane Primary School, we continue to remember all the innocent victims. 16 Primary 1 children and their teacher, Gwen Mayor, were killed that day and many more were wounded physically & emotionally. Captain Sardar Ishar Singh was the first Sikh to be awarded the Victoria Cross for his bravery, when the convoy he was protecting was attacked by tribesmen in Waziristan in April 1921.
His tribute and story is now on the Armed Forces Memorial Wall - if a member of your family has ever served in our Armed Forces and has passed away please ensure they are remembered and honoured on the Wall. It only takes a few minutes to complete a tribute. Lest we forget.
