🏆 Broom Leys have done it again 🏆

🌟💚 We are delighted to announce that we have achieved the School Games PLATINUM Mark Award for the 2025/26 academic year 🌟💚

The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.

With a total of young people competing in local inter-school competitions this year, we are extremely proud of our pupils for their dedication to all aspects of school sport, including those young volunteers, leaders and officials who made our competitions possible.

As part of our application, we were asked to fulfil criteria in the areas of participation, competition, workforce and clubs, and we are pleased that the hard work of everyone at our school has been rewarded this year 🎉

We look forward to applying once again in 2027 🙌

Today we celebrated our very special “This Is Me” Day, a joyful event dedicated to recognising and celebrating each child’s individuality. Pupils, along with staff, were invited to come to school wearing clothing that reflected their heritage, interests, hobbies or the clubs they belong to. It was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to express who they are and what makes them unique. 💚

The day beautifully promoted an inclusive environment where every child’s identity is recognised, respected and valued. From cultural dress to sports kits and creative outfits, the diversity and pride on display were truly inspiring. 💚

I think you’ll agree; they all looked absolutely fantastic, and we are so proud of each and every one of them! 💚

💚We are incredibly proud and grateful to share the completion of our Wellbeing Garden at Broom Leys, alongside our Attenborough wildflower meadow – both made possible through the generosity and support of our amazing community.
