🌿Forest School Adventures!🌿

Our preschool children have had a wonderful time exploring and learning outdoors during their forest school sessions!

They have been busy building tents and finding dens, exploring the stream, discovering a magical fairy garden, and searching for the perfect spots to eat their lunch. They’ve also enjoyed getting creative, making beautiful leaf crowns using treasures they found in nature!

It’s been a fantastic opportunity for the children to develop their teamwork, imagination, confidence and curiosity while enjoying the wonders of the great outdoors. 🌳🪵🍂

We’d like to wish all of the children starting school this week a huge good luck! We’re sure you’ll all have a fantastic first week and settle in brilliantly. 🎒✨

Just a little reminder that Monday 31st August is a Bank Holiday, so nursery will be closed.

All term-time-only children will return on Tuesday 1st September. We’re super excited to welcome you all back and to meet all of the new families joining us too!

Bread making🍞🐸

Our preschool children have had a fantastic time getting hands on and creative, as they made their very own bread frogs!

The children explored measuring, mixing, and kneading the dough, building their fine motor and turn taking skills along the way. As part of the activity, they also talked about how frogs grow and change, learning about the lifecycle from tadpoles to frogs.

To finish, the children practised good hygiene by washing their hands and helped tidy up their work space. Well done everyone!☺️

A Trip to the Library 📚🍄

This afternoon the babies enjoyed a trip to the library. They had lots of fun exploring the colourful books, looking at the lights and sensory displays, and discovering new spaces to play and learn.

The staff loved seeing the their curiosity as they reached for books, explored the shelves, and shared the experience with their friends.

What a lovely little adventure for our babies!☺️

Today is a very bitter sweet day, while we wish good luck to Sydney, as she begins her maternity leave and gets ready to welcome her little bundle of joy.

Sydney is a valued member of our Lilliput team, bringing kindness, dedication, and so much care to the babies and families every day. She will be truly missed while she’s away.

We hope you enjoy every moment of this exciting new chapter, filled with cuddles, laughter, and precious memories. Everyone here at the nursery wishes you and your growing family all the happiness in the world.

We can’t wait to meet your little one and look forward to welcoming you back when the time is right. ☺️🍄

This morning some of the babies enjoyed a sensory activity using shaving foam and sand to make their own “cement”.

They explored the different textures by scooping, mixing and transporting the mixture with diggers and trucks. This type of messy play supports sensory development, fine motor skills, hand–eye coordination and helps to build on their social and communication skills.☺️
