Looking for more than just an hour of maths tutoring a week?

I take a personalised approach to GCSE Maths tutoring, making sure students are supported all the time — not just during lessons. I set independent tasks, help guide revision in their own time, and offer text support so students can get help between sessions if they’re struggling with anything.
If you want a real, personal and well thought out approach to tutoring, please check out my website for further details or contact me via my page or website.

How do you feel about maths? 🤔
I wanted to ask this because I know everyone’s relationship with maths is different. Some people love it, others find it stressful, and plenty are somewhere in between.
As a tutor, I see all sides — and I’d love to hear what it’s like for you (or your children). 🔢 Love it — give me numbers all day!
🙂 It’s fine — as long as I’ve got a calculator.
😬 Not my favourite subject, but I try.
😱 Hate it — maths and I don’t get along!

Dyslexia Awareness Week 💙 (6–13 October)
This week shines a light on dyslexia and the different ways it can affect learning. At Paige Greens Tutoring, we know that every student thinks and learns differently — and that’s something to celebrate, not hide.
For some, dyslexia makes school feel overwhelming, but with the right support, strategies and encouragement, progress is always possible. Our role as tutors is to adapt, listen, and find the approach that works for each individual.
To all the students (and parents) navigating dyslexia: you are not alone, and your strengths go far beyond the classroom.

Have you ever had the conversation… “Shall we just get the slightly bigger pizza?”
Well, it might be a lot bigger than you think!
Here’s the maths:
8-inch pizza → radius = 4 inches
Area = π × 4² ≈ 50 square inches
12-inch pizza → radius = 6 inches
Area = π × 6² ≈ 113 square inches
So that 12-inch pizza isn’t just a bit bigger — it’s actually more than double the area of the 8-inch one. Bigger really does mean better value!
Would you go for the small or the large? 😄

Why choose Paige Greens Tutoring?
Choosing the right tutor really matters, and families come to us because we put the student at the centre of everything. Every lesson is shaped around the individual — sometimes it’s about building confidence, sometimes filling in gaps, and sometimes stretching them further.
Our tutors bring plenty of experience, but more importantly, they know how to adapt to different learning styles. Parents often tell us how much progress their children make — not just in maths skills, but in feeling more confident about the subject.
Don’t just take our word for it — you can see for yourself by checking the reviews on our page and Google.

📢 Important Update for Year 11 Families
To support our Year 11 students as they prepare for their exams, we are introducing a new half-termly progress check.
Every half term, students will be sent a short assessment paper. This allows us to:
✔ Track their current progress
✔ Identify specific areas where extra support is needed
✔ Make sure sessions remain focused, effective and tailored to each student
Our aim is to ensure that every lesson is purposeful and that students continue to move forward with confidence in the lead-up to their exams.
Thank you as always for your support — together we can make a real difference to your child’s success. 🌟

While my students were taking a well-deserved break over the summer holidays, I swapped my calculator for a shovel and headed to Canada to plant trees! 🇨🇦 It was tough work (mud, bugs, and muscles I didn’t know existed 😂), but also incredibly rewarding. My personal best? 2,700 trees in one day! 🌳💪
Now, you might be wondering… why would a maths tutor be planting trees? For me, it’s all about trying new things and never stopping learning. What did I learn? 🌟
Resilience: pushing through challenges even when it gets tough
Confidence: realising I can handle more physically demanding work than I thought
It was a summer full of growth (for me and the trees 😉).
👉 What’s something new you’ve tried lately, and what did it teach you?
