As we have had lots of new pupils join us since summer, and we’ve had new teachers join us too, we thought we would reintroduce ourselves! Starting off with the Principal of Eclipse Performance Arts 🖤🌙

I’m Heather Bowley, the proud owner of Eclipse Dance & Performance Arts School, where I’ve had the privilege of sharing my passion for dance and performance for over 30 years.
Throughout my career, I’ve taught and supported children from as young as two years old, right through to developing and coaching teachers. I’m a Licentiate Teacher with the ABD and an Associate with the ISTD, and I’m passionate about continually developing my own knowledge and helping others grow in confidence, skill and creativity.
One of the most rewarding parts of my work is seeing the positive impact that dance and performance can have on children and young people. I have extensive experience and training working with children with Autism and ADHD, and I particularly enjoy seeing how students with SEN can benefit from performance. Watching a student discover their confidence, find their voice and realise what they’re capable of is one of the reasons I love what I do. I’m incredibly proud of Eclipse, its amazing teachers and every one of our students. For me, it’s about creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels valued, supported and encouraged to be themselves, while developing a genuine love of the performing arts.
Family is also a huge part of my life. I’m a very proud mum to three grown-up sons and I’m incredibly lucky to have a wonderful husband by my side. Over the years, my boys have become a special part of the Eclipse family too. They regularly provide technical support, music editing and backstage assistance at our shows, and I love that they’ve each found their own way to contribute to something that has been such a huge part of my life. Having my family involved makes the whole Eclipse journey even more special.
Away from the studio, I enjoy keeping fit and spending time at the gym, as well as being a very proud dog mum to my two lovely French Bulldogs. I’m definitely a bit of a perfectionist and I’m used to juggling lots of things at once! Running a school, supporting students and teachers, organising shows and balancing family life can certainly keep me busy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
After 30 years in the industry, my passion for dance, teaching and seeing young people flourish is as strong as ever. I feel incredibly lucky to do something I love and to have built Eclipse into something that means so much to me — not just a dance school, but a community of students, teachers and families that I’m incredibly proud to be part of.
