🌟 Residential Trips: Memories That Last a Lifetime! 🌟

We are incredibly proud to offer our children three amazing residential experiences during their time with us:

🏰 Year 2: 2 nights at Beaumanor Hall
🚣 Year 4: 2 nights at Whitemoor Lakes
⛰️ Year 6: 4 nights at Min-y-Don, Wales

These trips provide so much more than a night away from home. They help children develop independence, resilience, confidence and teamwork while taking part in exciting activities such as archery, abseiling, the Leap of Faith, kayaking, orienteering and team-building challenges.

Residentials give children the opportunity to step outside their comfort zones, discover new talents and create unforgettable memories with their friends. Watching their confidence grow over the course of a few days is always incredible.

Ask our children about their favourite school memory, and many will tell you that their residential trip was not only the highlight of that year but the highlight of their entire primary school experience.

💙 What is a Social Prescriber? 💙

Did you know that not all health and wellbeing concerns need a medical prescription?

A Social Prescriber can help you access local services and support that may improve your overall wellbeing. They can help with things such as:

✅ Loneliness and social isolation
✅ Financial or housing concerns
✅ Bereavement support
✅ Exercise and healthy lifestyle activities
✅ Community groups and volunteering opportunities
✅ Managing stress, anxiety, or feeling overwhelmed

A Social Prescriber takes the time to listen to what matters to you and can connect you with support available in your local community.

If you think you could benefit from speaking to a Social Prescriber, Sally will be in school next Monday from 8:30am to 10:30am, and then on the first Monday of every month thereafter.

🌟 Did You Know? Our School is Full of Nurture and Care! 🌟

At our school, children's wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do.

Did you know that we have two school chickens that our children help to care for? From cleaning them out to making sure they have everything they need, our pupils learn responsibility, compassion and the importance of caring for others.

We are also incredibly lucky to have our wonderful school dog, Pippa. Whether it's a calming cuddle, a friendly face to greet children in the morning, or simply a quiet companion when needed, Pippa is always on hand to bring smiles and support our children's emotional wellbeing. 🐾❤️

Alongside this, we have our fantastic ELSA teacher, Mrs Prime, who works tirelessly to support children with their emotional needs, helping them build confidence, resilience and strategies to manage life's ups and downs.

From nurturing relationships and emotional support to animal-assisted wellbeing opportunities, our school is filled with caring adults who are dedicated to helping every child feel safe, valued and ready to learn.

💙 Because at our school, wellbeing isn't just important... it's our priority. 💙

🌟 Welcome Back Everyone! 🌟

What a wonderful start to the new school year! It has been so lovely to see all of our families this morning and to welcome everyone back through our doors.

The children have settled straight back into school life terrifically and have returned with such enthusiasm, positivity and smiles. We started the day with our first Collective Worship assembly of the year with Mrs Noon, who was delighted to see so many happy, smiling faces beaming back at her.

Our children are now busy in their classrooms, getting to know their peers, staff and new routines, and what a fantastic start they have made already.

We are so excited for the year ahead and can't wait to see all the wonderful learning and opportunities it will bring. Here's to a fantastic first term together! ✨

🌞 Wishing All Our Families a Fabulous Summer Holiday! 🌞

As another incredible school year comes to a close, we would like to take a moment to reflect on the many wonderful memories we've created together. From residential trips and educational visits to fundraising events, our fantastic May Fayre, memorable productions, sporting achievements, and so much more, it has truly been a year to celebrate.

None of this would have been possible without the support, enthusiasm and dedication of our pupils, families, staff and wider community. Thank you for making this year so special.

We would also like to express our heartfelt thanks for the generous end-of-term gifts, thoughtful messages and kind words we have received. Your appreciation means so much to us, and we are incredibly grateful for your continued support and partnership throughout the year.

As we head into the summer break, we hope you all have the opportunity to relax, recharge and make precious memories with family and friends. You have certainly earned it! ☀️

What an incredible end‑of‑year performance from our amazing Year 6s! Their acting, singing and dancing were an absolute joy to behold — and seeing the smiles on their parents’ faces was pure magic.

A huge thank you to our wonderful Year 6 team who pulled out all the stops to make this such a success.
