Nearly 56, in Tenerife, dancing salsa… in my wig. 💃🌴

And somewhere between learning how to secure it, style it, care for it and wondering whether anyone could tell I was wearing one, I realised something.

The wig was never the point.

The life was.

The dancing.
The travelling.
The laughing.
The meeting new people.
The saying yes.
The feeling like me.

I spent so much time at the beginning learning how to wear a wig.

Now I want to spend far more time forgetting about the wig altogether and getting on with the life underneath it.

Nearly 56.

And far too busy living. ❤️
