It’s been a busy first month at Carntall and we’ve just realised we haven’t introduced our 2026–27 Eco Committee.🌱🌍

These guys were voted in by their classmates at the beginning of September and are ready to help make Carntall even greener.💚♻️

We’re looking forward to seeing their ideas come to life this year.🌿

🌟BUDDIES AT CARNTALL🌟

We are delighted to introduce our P7 pupils and their new Reception and P1 buddies🥰

Our P7 Buddy System is a very special part of life at Carntall. It helps our youngest children settle into school life, build friendships and feel happy and confident in their new surroundings.

Our P7s take great pride in being a friendly face, helping hand and positive role model for their little buddies. We’re looking forward to watching these lovely friendships grow throughout the year.

🎒🍎 Back to School Theme Day🍎🎒

Lunchtime was extra special today thanks to our wonderful cook, Helen, who organised a brilliant Back to School Theme Day.

There were lots of delicious treats to enjoy along with special surprises and spot prizes for the children. 🎁✨

A huge thank you to Helen and Norma for everything you do to make lunchtime so special every day and for going the extra mile to organise fun events like this for our pupils. We really appreciate all that you do❤️

🙏 SU After School Club ✝️

A lovely afternoon with Miss Bloomfield at SU. The children enjoyed prayer time and worship songs before learning about Zacchaeus and how meeting Jesus transformed his life.

We finished with some great discussion using our ‘If Jesus Came for Tea’ questions. 💭🫖

🚶‍♀️🚴‍♂️ Walking, Wheeling and Cycling at Carntall🌿
A big thank you to Amy from Walk Wheel Cycle Trust for visiting Carntall today to meet all our pupils and introduce herself.

We are delighted that Amy will be working alongside us over the next three years to promote healthy lifestyles and help us develop a whole-school culture where walking, wheeling and cycling become part of our everyday lives wherever possible.

We are really looking forward to working with Amy and seeing where this exciting journey takes us.💚

🌳🍂 Woodland Adventures in P3&4🍃🔍

Our P3&4 pupils enjoyed taking their learning outdoors as part of their World Around Us topic.

The boys and girls became nature detectives as they took part in a woodland scavenger hunt and observation walk, exploring their surroundings and discovering the wonderful sights, sounds and treasures of nature. 🐞🌿

What better way to learn about the world around us than getting outdoors and experiencing it firsthand.🌳💚
