Stonyhurst Association

Stonyhurst Association The Stonyhurst Association’s primary objective is to foster a strong spirit of union amongst past pupils and friends of Stonyhurst College.

This spirit of union has been fostered in a variety of ways reflecting the spirit of succeeding generations. Recently, this has been evidence by a strong charitable emphasis, embedded with similar developments within the College. This was formalised in 1985, when the Association was granted charitable status by the Charity Commission.

It is with great sadness we share the news of the death of Paul Warrilow.

Paul served the College with great dedication for nearly four decades, from 1983 until 2022, and will be remembered with much affection by generations of pupils, colleagues and members of the wider Stonyhurst community.

We extend our deepest sympathies and prayers to Paul’s family, friends and all who knew him.

May he rest in peace.

A Requiem Mass to celebrate the life of Paul will be held at 11am on Wednesday 26 August at St Michael and St John's RC Church, Lowergate, Clitheroe, Lancashire, BB7 1BE.
A funeral reception will follow at The Mill, Greenacre Street, Clitheroe, BB7 1EB from 12pm.
As I am sure you are aware, Paul was a fanatical Villa fan. Feel free to wear a Villa scarf, regardless of your team! Paul would be delighted to know you honoured the Villa, or changed allegiance, even for a short time, in his name!
