Lots of learning through play in class one. Paper mache, designing shoes, making cakes and reading numbers and counting the ducks, telling the time practically and creating missing posters for Superworm.

A few more from our brillant time away at Lake Coniston. We had so much fun, map reading around Grizedale forest and tree climbing.

Today our children have challenged themselves, perservered and faced their fears in some exciting outdoor activities. We went Gyll scrambling this morning and kayaked across the lake this afternoon.

After a very rainy week it was great for Nursery and Reception to take their learning outside this morning. (With a special thank you to Martha and Rose for tidying our mud kitchen so well) Wishing all our families a lovely weekend 😊

We’re looking forward to seeing all the children tomorrow and hope you’ve all had a lovely half term break. Class One - please bring your sunflower back tomorrow ( if you took one home) so we can continue looking after them in school. Thank you ☺️

Just before we broke up for half term we welcomed Peter’s mummy into class. As part of our EYFS curriculum the children are learning about ‘People who help us’ . Peter‘s mummy talked all about being a nurse and how they help people. The children loved using the torch to look in each other’s throats, learning how to wash their hands thoroughly and bandaging each other‘s wrists. Thank you so much for your time 😊
