Clitheroe Guitar Studio is located in Clitheroe, Lancashire and is run by International London College of Music and ISOM Examiner Nick Mackey MISM. He writes articles and compositions for the Banjo, Mandolin and Guitar Society magazine, has examined all over the UK plus Italy, Cyprus, Ireland and Greece, online in Nepal, U.S.A, Switzerland, Singapore, India, Turkey, New Zealand Malta and Malaysia,

Nick currently teaches & provides support to pupils for G.C.S.E & ‘A’ level performance, composition, theory, Music ICT, plus wrote & delivered courses for Gifted & Talented pupils. For many years Nick was Lead Tutor for Rock & Pop Development with the Blackburn with Darwen Music Service. This involved working with teachers covering over 900 pupils in Primary, Secondary & 6th Form colleges, to develop the learning of all styles of rock & pop instruments. He also wrote the complete Internal Award Exam Syllabus for Guitar & Bass for the Borough, and developed the Music Ambassadors. He has had three books of Classical guitar compositions published by CORDA music, and is registered with the RGT & Rockschool to prepare pupils if required for exams in Classical/Acoustic/Bass/Electric guitar, Banjo, Mandolin and Ukulele. Nick also enters pupils for the Associated Exam Board & Trinity College exams. He teaches Associated Exam Board theory & R.G.T/London College Rock/Pop theory exams. His teaching has recently been Quality Assured through the Blackburn with Darwen Music Hub, and he holds the enhanced DBS clearance. In January 2015 Nick was awarded ‘Experienced Exam Tutor’ status by the RGT, for continued success with pupils in the exams. Nick is a member of the ISM, and has passed the Educare Child Protection in Education Course.
