🎾 Another fantastic day of tennis success for Stonyhurst Sport!

Today it was the turn of our girls, with three fixtures hosted here at the College and they certainly delivered:

🏆 U14 Girls – 5–1 win (National 2nd Round)
🏆 U16 Girls – 6–0 win (National 2nd Round)
🏆 U18 Girls – 8–0 win (LTA Aberdare National Championships, 2nd Round)

All victories came against Merchant Taylors’, making it a clean sweep in three really competitive fixtures.

There’s plenty more tennis to look forward to next week, with our U18B boys travelling to St Peter’s York on Saturday, alongside the next rounds of the National Cup.

They powered through the LTA North of England Championships with two fantastic wins – an 8–4 victory over Altrincham Grammar and a strong 10–2 result against Lancaster RGS.

Stonyhurst’s Girls U18A tennis team delivered an excellent set of performances yesterday at the LTA Year 11–13 North of England Championships, securing wins against Bolton School (8–4), Calday Grange Grammar School (8–0), and our own Stonyhurst Girls B team (12–0).

These results place the team at the top of the North West group and confirm their progression to the knockout stages in January 2026.

Well done to the pupils and coaching staff on this strong achievement.
