James' C.E Primary School is an inclusive Christian Primary school providing a caring, stimulating, loving environment where each child's education and wellbeing are our main focus. A school where children can develop to the best of their ability both intellectually and physically. Our last OFSTED inspection rated us a Good school and Outstanding in our SIAMS, RE Inspection. Our school is a large family where pupils are encouraged to look after their environment and to care about others. It is a community where the children are encouraged and motivated to be good citizens of the future. All children are welcome irrespective of background and ability. Throughout each child's life at school we make great efforts to establish good home/school relationships and value parental support. Parents are encouraged to take an active part in the life of the school and in their child's education. The school is also proud of its strong links with its parent church St.

🪩 What a night! 🕺 🥳 We hope everyone had a fantastic time at our school disco, thank you to everyone who supported and helped out, there were some brilliant moves in the dance floor, the most song requests we’ve ever had pre-disco, and some great games being run by our awesome DJ team!
We raised an amazing £965 too! 🙌

✨Infants Disco (Reception - Y2): 6-6.45pm
✨Juniors Disco (Y3-Y6): 7-8pm

We’ll have lots of fun, music, dancing and games along with snacks and treats, and we'd love to see you all there🪩

🎤 CALLING ALL AGES - we are taking music requests! We need to know these in advance, so pop a comment below 👇🏻 with your child’s fave song(s) and we’ll try our best to get it played in the night 🕺🎶

✨ The Junior Disco will also have a Tuck Shop - crisps, sweets & snacks to buy on the night from 20p up to £2, so make sure to bring some change along!
✨ The Infant ticket now includes a treat bag too 🫶🏻

‼️Important Info for the night -
🌟 Tickets will be sent via email as a QR Code, which will be scanned for entrance on the night (this can be from a phone or printed out). Drop off and pick up is at the main door on the staff car park

🌟 NEW - If you are collecting an Infant AND have a Junior to drop off, you can now do that at the same time ☺️ No need to re-queue, have their junior ticket ready to scan and they’ll wait inside in a classroom with a teacher until the Junior disco starts 🙌

🌟 Phones aren’t allowed during the disco, so please can they be kept with parents or handed to the teacher at the entrance

🌟 For safeguarding reasons, parents/carers won’t be allowed to enter the building unless they are one of our volunteers

🙏🏻 We need a few more helpers, so if you can lend a hand at either the Infant or Junior disco, please let us know asap! It’s lovely to see your child enjoying themselves too ☺️

In worship today we listened to the story of David & Jonathan, who had a deep, loyal friendship. We thought about what it meant to be a good friend, and how small words of kindness can make our school a friendlier place for everyone!
We also talked about our 'Harvest Shoebox Appeal' and how any donation will make a BIG difference to so many families in the Ribble Valley. Children may bring their filled shoeboxes (or tins/packets to add to the class box) over the next two weeks.🥫🧡

🌿 Celebrating the new Primrose Nature Reserve pathway! 🌿

Today, our School Council were delighted to help celebrate the opening of the new pathway at Primrose Community Nature Reserve.

We joined representatives from the Primrose Community Trust and the Mayor & Mayoress of the Ribble Valley Borough Council. Our School Council proudly showcased artwork created by children across school, delivered some fantastic speeches and even interviewed Inger Vandyke, wildlife photojournalist, who had the privilege of cutting the ribbon that we made together as a school. ✂️🌳

A wonderful celebration of our local community, wildlife and the amazing natural space right on our doorstep.

Great job, School Council! You did us proud! 👏🌿

🌾Harvest Festival at St James’ Church🌾

We warmly invite families, friends and parishioners to join us at St James’ Church on Friday 16th October at 9.30am

This years' service will be led by Alder (Y5) and Ash (Y1/2).

As part of our Harvest celebration, we are collecting donations for the Ribble Valley Food Bank. Families are invited to bring a shoebox filled with tins, packets of food and/or toiletries. Children might like to decorate their box or add a picture, message or prayer. ❤️

Don’t worry if you can’t fill a whole box — individual tins and packets are very welcome too and can be brought into school.

Every donation makes a difference. We look forward to celebrating Harvest together! 🌾❤️
