🌱 We’ve been given an amazing opportunity to transform a very overgrown allotment into a magical outdoor learning space for our preschool children! 💚

There’s a HUGE amount to do — from 5ft nettles and broken fencing to removing old structures and creating growing areas, wildlife habitats and spaces for adventure.

We’re fundraising to make our vision a reality. Every donation and share, no matter how small, will help us get one step closer! 🌻

Please share and help us grow something wonderful together! 🌱

When pre school is almost out for summer 🌞😄

Today we had the most wonderful trip to Salthill park and it's clear to see the children enjoyed every minute.

Another beautiful day and another outing, this time to Gisburn Park. The children enjoyed exploring all the different equipment and of course our weekly bus trip 🥰

This week at Forest School, the children were inspired by the story Owl Babies. They created their own stick owls and cosy grass nests, using natural materials and lots of imagination. 🦉🌿

There was plenty of exploring too, as we searched for bugs, transported water and used loose parts to design and build bridges. The children showed wonderful teamwork, curiosity and problem-solving throughout the session.

We also continued to practise our fire-lighting skills and successfully cooked delicious campfire popcorn! This was a fantastic opportunity to build resilience, as the children persevered, followed safety routines and celebrated their success together around the fire. 🔥🍿

A special thank you to Jennie, who has joined us over the past six weeks to mentor Heather as part of the Forest School Leader Accelerator Training Programme. We are so grateful for her support, knowledge and encouragement throughout this exciting journey. 💚

Another wonderful week at Forest School! 🌿🔥🎨🐞

This week the children continued developing their fire-lighting skills, learning about fire safety, patience and perseverance as they carefully practised under close supervision.

Our creative side flourished too as we used salt dough to make miniature bug garden keepsakes, ready to take home and treasure. Inspired by the much-loved story Shark in the Park, we created our own binoculars before heading off on an exciting woodland search. Looking high, low and all around, helping the children to build their observation and communication skills.

To finish our session, we used natural paintbrushes from conifer branches and used them to create some beautiful woodland artwork. It was amazing to see how nature can provide so many wonderful resources for learning and creativity.

Forest School is all about exploring, creating, problem-solving and building confidence through hands-on experiences—and this week's adventures certainly did just that! 🌲💚

Yesterday our preschool adventurers enjoyed a magical visit to Spring Woods, where we stayed cool in the shade of the trees while celebrating International Fairy Day! 🧚🌳✨

The children let their imaginations lead the way as we searched for fairy footsteps, explored hidden woodland treasures, hugged towering trees, and climbed the woodland hills. Every corner of the forest became a place for discovery, storytelling, and wonder.

Celebrating International Fairy Day was the perfect opportunity to encourage creativity, curiosity, and a love of nature. Through imaginative play in the great outdoors, the children developed confidence, resilience, and a deeper connection with the natural world.
