Cascades Childcare have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Early Years Practitioner to join our team!

We are a small, friendly, nurturing team providing high quality day care provision for children aged from 6 months to 4 years old.
We are based in a central location in Clitheroe, with staff parking available.
We provide and support ongoing training opportunities for all our staff for continual professional development.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and nurturing full time level 3 practitioner with a keen interest in providing an exciting and stimulating learning environment for our children, with an emphasis on working closely with their families.

The children have been learning all about life cycles 🐣, and we have successfully hatched eight little ducklings. The children are loving taking care of them and observing the ducklings growing and playing in the Forest School . They are so adorable 🥰

This week in our Forest School sessions we have been foraging wild garlic from our garden to make into pesto!
We collected the wild garlic leaves and carefully washed them, before blending them together with sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, olive oil and parmesan cheese.
We then enjoyed tasting the pesto with breadsticks at snack time!

As part of our new topic in Nursery School the children have been learning all about people who help us in our community, and we were lucky enough that some of the firefigters from Clitheroe Fire Station offered to visit us last week.

The children were able to ask any questions that they had, look at the different parts of the uniform, sit inside the fire engine and the most exciting part for the children - use the hose!

Before leaving we were able to see the flashing lights and listen to the sirens.

We are delighted to announce that we have been successful in securing DfE funding to expand our nursery places. The funding will primarily be used to expand and improve the area for the under 2s and to enhance and create additional SEND provision. There will be more details to follow soon.

Last week the children taking part in our Schools Linking Project enjoyed a lovely visit to Castleford Care Home. As requested by the children, they took some daffodils for the residents and some framed art work to be displayed within the living room.

The children put on a fabulous performance of ‘We’re going on a Bear Hunt’ and sang some of our favourite nursery rhymes which the residents were able to join in with.

It was lovely to see a room full of beaming smiles and we are so proud of our children for thinking of such a lovely gesture to show kindness.
