Community Stitch Project Round-Up! 🧵 What a joy to lead and be part of this beautiful project. It brought together an incredible group of women from diverse ages and backgrounds, offering a unique insight into the lives of Ukrainians in Lancashire. Friendships blossomed, skills were shared, and countless small acts of kindness – from homemade snacks to roses and kind words – made every moment special. Each of the 20 members explored their creativity, with many, including Kate, discovering a new love for embroidery, tapestry, and appliqué. We learned new skills and created something truly beautiful together. Thank you to each person who was part of this project, to our Spacehive donors who helped fund it, the volunteers who helped put it all together, Clitheroe library for displaying it (go check it out if you are able). Also, a huge thank you to Lancashire Evening News for sharing our story of connection, creativity, and cross-cultural community! 🇺🇦Read full story here https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/26186302.ribble-valley-arts-crafts-project-brings-people-together/

Our final longer session with our Mercer Hall group 🌿✨
We came together for one final longer session, creating space to reflect, connect and celebrate the journey we have shared.
We started with elemental movement, giving ourselves permission to move freely, raise our mood, release tension and simply move like nobody was watching 💚
From there, we slowed things down and connected with nature through creativity, drawing flowers, exploring colour and taking inspiration from the world around us. 🌸🍃
To close, we shared affirmations with one another; small but powerful reminders of strength, resilience and the importance of continuing to nurture ourselves beyond these sessions.
Over the weeks, we have seen confidence grow, connections form and creativity become a tool for wellbeing and self-expression.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, shared space and embraced the process with openness.
❤️Your journey doesn’t end here! keep creating, keep connecting and keep being kind to yourself

Week 4 of our Creative Wellbeing Journey in Great Harwood explored the theme of relationships, connection and family structures through clay work and social atoms. 💛
Using creativity as a tool for reflection, participants explored the people, relationships and support systems that shape their lives - past and present. Through sculpting and visual mapping, important conversations emerged around identity, belonging, boundaries, loss, love and connection.
These gentle creative processes can help people express thoughts and emotions that are often difficult to put into words, whilst building confidence, self-awareness and community connection in a safe and supportive space. 🌿✨

Nothing stays the same—including us. 🎭 These mask captures the many faces we wear and the beautiful, bittersweet reality of impermanence. We are a work in progress, forever evolving. ✨
What a beautiful evening at our community stitch project in Clitheroe! 🪡 It was heartwarming to see new faces, diverse textile creations, grandmothers and granddaughters stitching together, and a wonderful buzz of women supporting women. We even enjoyed Ukrainian food and a lovely surprise from Vicky Murphy! We're so grateful for this warm, supportive community and don't want it to end! Special thanks to Vic Mysko for her sewing machine skills. 🌹
