We are excited to announce we are back in Hyndburn this September!
We are now taking bookings for a 6-week creative wellbeing programme starting Thursday 10th September 2026 at Bank Mill House in Great Harwood.

We would like to thank the Hyndburn and Ribble Valley CVS for supporting our work and
for funding this course and removing cost barriers for people seeking mental health support.

Could create your inner sanctuary?
This would be a place that offers you peace and safety. Visualisation is a powerful tool, as our brains do not differentiate between what is real and what is imagined when we transport ourselves to this inner sanctuary. Our thoughts are incredibly potent, and the brain responds similarly to perceived threats, perceived joys, and reality.

Just got back from an amazing Community Action Network meeting in Barrow!
It was fantastic to have so many representatives from local services, community organisations, and charities all in one room. I had the opportunity to present the work School of You has accomplished over the past 18 months, meet other like-minded community organisations, and share ideas for potential collaborations.
A younger me would have been astonished that my 46-year-old self could stand up in front of about 50 people and speak for 20 minutes!
It was definitely a reflective moment of pride in myself for developing the tools and actions needed to quiet that inner critic, calm my nervous system, and be individual and proud of what Sim and I have created with School of You.
It's also been a pleasure to meet so many awesome people (sadly, many of whom are ex-teachers, which says something about our education system) who are setting up wonderful new services for people in our area. I'll try to list some here. 🤩

*Campaign launch announcement!*
Over the past year, we've been working hard behind the scenes to secure funding and grants. While we adore our Creative Health sessions, getting funding is quite challenging. We're incredibly grateful to have recently secured support from the Freemasons, Clitheroe Physiotherapy Trust, Onward Homes, and the Integrated Care Board for East Lancashire. Honestly, we receive far more rejections than approvals, so when we do get funding, we're absolutely thrilled and appreciative! It truly shows that others recognise the value of our mission to spread creative health throughout Lancashire and beyond. These recent contributions have inspired us to launch another crowdfunding campaign!
Lancashire County Council will generously donate up to 40% of what we raise, and we just need at least 20 backers. If you believe in what we do, please consider pledging today via the link in our bio. Even a small contribution of £2 demonstrates your support and will help us reach our goal.
