Non uniform day tomorrow
Friends of Brookside are holding a ‘Father’s day Stall’ on Wednesday 17th June.
To make this stall a success we need items to sell! FOB are holding a non-uniform day on Friday 12th June for the forfeit of suitable donations, such as smellies or chocolates etc, to the value of £3 that we can these use for our stall (take to class on the non uniform day). Please no alcohol as we are unable to sell this on the stall.
If your child has donated a gift, they will have the chance to visit the stall on Wednesday 17th June, to choose a gift for their father (or grandad/brother) for a cost of £3. This includes the gift being wrapped and delivered back to their class in time for them taking it home for Fathers day on Sunday 21st June.
Please note: Priority to visit the stall will be given to those children that donated a suitable forfeit for non-uniform day and also brought £3 in on the day of the stall. Class teachers will keep a record.
FOB is totally volunteer run for the benefit of Brookside children and we rely on donations to help keep our costs down. We thank you for your continued support.

We had a very important morning in Starlings today. As I'm sure the children have already told you, Macavity (the master criminal cat!) has been causing havoc in our small school town, and it is our job to get to the bottom of his crimes!
The children really got into character during our Town Hall meeting, expressing their shock, concern, and excitement as they discovered what Macavity had been up to this time.
However, the drama didn't end there. When we returned to our classroom after the meeting, we discovered that it had been completely destroyed! The room was in a terrible mess, and it was clear that Macavity had struck again.
Determined to solve the mystery, we carefully examined the CCTV footage and interrogated our key suspect. After gathering the evidence, we soon realised that Macavity was responsible once more!
The children have shown fantastic enthusiasm, teamwork, and detective skills as they work together to uncover the truth behind Macavity's latest crime. We can't wait to see where the investigation takes us next!

Sports betting has become increasingly visible online, appearing across apps, websites, social media, sports coverage and gaming spaces.
Even when young people are not legally old enough to gamble, they may still encounter betting messages through adverts, influencers, tipsters, friends or adult accounts.
Our latest guide highlights key risks, including:
• Easy online access
• Gambling becoming normalised around sport
• Peer and influencer pressure
• Free bet offers
• Impulsive spending and chasing losses
It also offers practical advice for parents, carers and educators on starting calm conversations, setting safer digital boundaries, spotting warning signs and finding support.

🦖🦖⭐⭐WOW WOW WOW ⭐⭐🦖🦖!!!!! Mrs Barnes came back to her office to find absolute chaos with strange footprints, tissue everywhere, a box and a pile of smelly p**p !!!!
Only one thing for it, we had to scrutinise the CCTV and we couldn't believe our eyes, luckily mummy dinosaur was no where to be seen.
She had however left a box for our Robin class. The mystery was solved when Mrs Birch opened the attached letter, which was from mummy dinosaur asking Robin class to look after her egg and that she will return for the egg soon.
The children were ecstatic with the visit, however Mrs Barnes is still cleaning up the p**p !!!!
