Bucket time is a great opportunity for children to observe and wait. Being able to tolerate delay is an important skill that can be taught using waiting games and sharing times such as bucket time and the children love it! The bucket contains lots of exciting things that children are encouraged to look at but not touch, learning to be patient and practice sitting for school😀

Some of the children enjoyed wood work on Monday afternoon. They show great understanding of safety as they carefully follow instructions and use their imaginations to create objects out of wood and nails. This is a great opportunity for children to challenge themselves, take appropriate risk and feel proud of their independent work. Well done everyone! 😀

This afternoon a small group of children went to the fruit and veg shop following an interest in shops! The shop keeper even let us sample some 😀
This was a great opportunity for the children to explore the community, money, local produce, healthy eating and be responsible when walking outside of nursery.
We came back and made some delicious fruit and vegetable kebabs using safety knives and skewers! Yum 😋

Introducing our caterpillar friends... Gerald, Ginger, Grace, Pinecone and Clement!

The children have loved watching them grow and learning about the life cycle. Here they are creating some caterpillar life cycle drawings and looking at the cocoons!

Last week we were lucky enough to have a visit from the police! This was such an engaging experience for us and the children loved asking all sorts of questions and exploring the car!

Our weekly visit to the local residential home is one of our favourites!

The children and residents alike get so much out of these visits and the interactions are so lovely to watch. The children grow in confidence each time we visit 😊🌸
