GCSE RESULTS DAY - THURSDAY 20th AUGUST 🎉

We are very much looking forward to seeing the students on Thursday for their GCSE Results Day 2026.

Please find the attached letter outlining the arrangements for the morning, which runs from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Please ensure you've read the information about accessing the site via the Humberston Road entrance due to ongoing building works.

Beacon Academy Summer Exhibition! 🎉

Join us on Thursday 23rd July from 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM as we proudly open our doors for the inaugural BA Summer Exhibition Open Evening!

Held in the Beacon Academy Art Department (Room 129), this landmark event is a vibrant celebration of the incredible creativity, passion, and dedication shown by our talented students and staff over the past academic year.

Inspired by London’s Royal Academy, we’ve removed all boundaries on theme and format to bring you a spectacular showcase of painting, sculpture, textiles, creative writing, and music. We are also incredibly excited to display featured work from the recent Wellspring Canvas Exhibition, giving our local community the perfect opportunity to experience the brilliant pieces that were recently on show at the Digital Media Centre in Barnsley!

We warmly welcome you to come along, explore the exhibition, and celebrate these amazing creative voices. Refreshments and facilities will be available throughout the afternoon. We can't wait to see you there! 👇

After last nights result it’s easy to see the negatives.. but..

We win together, we lose together. Through it all, we do it as a team. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Today is our Sports Day, and we do this together.

England may not be lifting the World Cup (🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲), but today someone will lift our Beacon Sports Day Trophy!

Tomorrow is our SPORTS DAY!

Students need to come in their PE kit! To celebrate the England Team and their progress in the World Cup (fingers crossed for a win tonight) students can also wear England tops if they wish!

As it is Sports Day, can students please bring a refillable drinks bottle AND trainers (no crocs because even speed mode isn’t safe for a 100M race!)
