✨ A little snapshot of my day today… 📚

🎓 GCSE Summer Session
We started with Eduqas English Language, looking at report writing and the skills needed to approach this effectively. We then moved onto Romeo and Juliet exam preparation, getting ready for upcoming mocks.

🤝 Alternative Provision Collaboration
I also had an exciting meeting with an alternative provision provider about collaborating to provide English tuition for KS3 and GCSE students. I’m really looking forward to exploring this opportunity further!

🌍 iGCSE English
I finished with an exciting first session with a new iGCSE student, focusing on formal letter writing and developing writing skills.

📚 KS3 Group Planning
In between sessions, I’ve also been busy planning and preparing for my KS3 group sessions, ready for our first session in just under 2 weeks’ time! I’m so excited to get started and welcome my new learners.

It’s been a busy day, but days like this remind me exactly why I love what I do. 💛

September Tuition Availability Update 📚✨

A huge thank you to everyone who has been in touch over the weekend.

I have had a weekend mostly off of my phone but will endeavour to get back to everyone by the end of Tuesday at the latest.

A quick update on availability:

🌟 1:1 Tuition
I now have ONE remaining 1:1 space available on a Monday evening from September. This is likely to be my only remaining evening 1:1 slot, so please get in touch if you’d like to secure it.

📖 Eduqas English Language
There are still some spaces available in my small-group GCSE sessions, specifically designed for the Eduqas exam board.

📚 English Literature
I also have spaces available in my GCSE English Literature group sessions Wednesdays 7-8pm.

🏡 Home Ed 11-14 Group
1 space free on a Monday 10-11am. 2 spaces available for Thursday 10-11am.

🏫 iGCSE and GCSE Daytime Groups
Spaces available in both groups.

GCSE Results Day 💛

I spent this morning back in school with my students, and honestly, what a lovely morning it was!

So many smiling faces, lots of proud moments and some really lovely results. I was particularly proud to see how much progress many of my students had made since their mock exams. One particular student moved up 3 grades 🥲!!

Knowing how hard they worked, it was so lovely to see that effort reflected in their results. 📈

It’s moments like today that remind me why I love teaching English so much. Seeing a student who has doubted themselves begin to believe in what they can achieve is one of the best parts of the job. ✨
