It was our Memory Cafe today and we had lots of lovely guests.

Thank you to St Patrick's Catholic Primary School, Cleator Moor, for coming to visit everyone. We hoped you enjoyed it as much as we did.

Thank you also to The High Sheriff of Cumbria for popping along to both the Memory Cafe and our offices at Cleator Moor. It was great telling you all about our services and meeting both of you. Thank you for taking the time.

Thanks to our volunteers today, to everyone that attended, along with the Copeland Memory Matters Team and also Whitehaven Rufc for supporting the group.

Also thank you to Whitehaven Morrisons Community Champion Sharon Graham for the donations of Hot Cross Buns.

Thank you for inviting me to take part in your career fair today at St Patrick's Catholic Primary School, Cleator Moor. It was a joy to meet with so much enthusiasm and talent!!

I have to say; our future with the arts is vibrant and exciting! The interest in art as a career was very encouraging and a bit overwhelming at times as I couldn’t demonstrate for every child, and I wish I could have. If you’d like to be involved inspiring new generations by sharing your joy of the arts, please email me at [email protected] with title: Planting Seeds. I’d love to do more with children as you just don’t know what a positive effect it may have on one of them. It’s a lovely day with enthusiasm and hope. How can that not be good for the soul? 😍

🧑‍🔬👩‍🔬Today, Mrs Benson Lester’s class have been investigating the Digestive System in Science. This included exploring how food travels through the digestive system, entering through the mouth, and out the other end! Some very focused scientists…until the experiment reached the 💩 stage! 😂🧑‍🔬👩‍🔬

HALLOWEEN DISCO- IMPORTANT NOTE🎃👻

🎃👻The disco is for school pupils only and will be manned by our school staff and PTA so parents do not need to stay. This is to ensure we can safeguard all our pupils.

🎃👻KS2 children do not arrive before your allocated time as we need to ensure all younger children are collected first.

🎃 Reminder 🎃

Our Halloween disco is tomorrow. Please see picture for details 👻🎃👻

🎃👻🧙‍♀️Our Halloween disco is on Tuesday 31st October.

🎃👻 Yesterday, Miss Rossi (our family support worker) and the autism support group held a Halloween party for children with autism, and their siblings. There was an excellent turn out and all enjoyed lots of fun and games. They raised a fabulous £138!

The party could not have happened without contributions from our community and local businesses, so we would like to offer a special thanks to:

🎃 Wath Brow Hornets for the use of the venue
🎃 Dale, the manager of Aldi, for the hot dog rolls (he bought these himself)
🎃Cleator Moor Co-op for the tin of sweets
🎃Asda for the three tins of sweets
🎃Tesco for the four Halloween buckets
🎃Northern Competitions for donating a prize
🎃Sproats newsagents/chippy for donating a prize
🎃 Shirley Murphy from Autism support who donated a prize
🎃 Julie Leech and Margaret Heron for donating prizes
🎃 Parents who donated prizes

Please keep an eye out for our next event..a bingo to raise funds for the Christmas party!

Thank you ☘️💚
