St Patrick's Catholic Primary School Newsletter 3rd November 2023 'Together we are growing in God's love'
This week, some of our year 3&4 pupils attended a let’s dance competition at St Benedict’s School🕺🏼💃☘️
They performed some solo pieces, duets and and absolutely amazing group number!❤️
They only had one day to pull the numbers together and as well as scoring high points overall, some of our students were awarded individual certificates! 🎉👏⭐️
Well done Joel and Florence who were awarded the certificates for most creative dancers and to Grace for best attitude overall!! 👏👏⭐️
We are so proud of you and all the team!! ☘️
We will share some videos of their fabulous routines!! 👏
Please can all parents from Years 1 & 2 collect their child at normal school finishing time, 3.15. All children will be brought back into school on their return from the trip, thank you.

👻🎃👻 What a brilliant time we had at our discos tonight! Definitely a school full of lively children 🤣

🧑🔬👩🔬Today, Mrs Benson Lester’s class have been investigating the Digestive System in Science. This included exploring how food travels through the digestive system, entering through the mouth, and out the other end! Some very focused scientists…until the experiment reached the 💩 stage! 😂🧑🔬👩🔬
HALLOWEEN DISCO- IMPORTANT NOTE🎃👻
🎃👻The disco is for school pupils only and will be manned by our school staff and PTA so parents do not need to stay. This is to ensure we can safeguard all our pupils.
🎃👻You therefore need to bring your child to school to sign the in on the ticket register and collect from the hall door at the end of the disco.
🎃👻KS2 children do not arrive before your allocated time as we need to ensure all younger children are collected first.
🎃 Reminder 🎃
Our Halloween disco is tomorrow. Please see picture for details 👻🎃👻
🎃👻🧙♀️Our Halloween disco is on Tuesday 31st October.
🎃👻🤷♀️Tickets will be available to buy from the school office from Monday 9th Oct!
🎃👻 Yesterday, Miss Rossi (our family support worker) and the autism support group held a Halloween party for children with autism, and their siblings. There was an excellent turn out and all enjoyed lots of fun and games. They raised a fabulous £138!
The party could not have happened without contributions from our community and local businesses, so we would like to offer a special thanks to:
🎃 Wath Brow Hornets for the use of the venue
🎃 Dale, the manager of Aldi, for the hot dog rolls (he bought these himself)
🎃Cleator Moor Co-op for the tin of sweets
🎃Asda for the three tins of sweets
🎃Tesco for the four Halloween buckets
🎃Northern Competitions for donating a prize
🎃Sproats newsagents/chippy for donating a prize
🎃 Shirley Murphy from Autism support who donated a prize
🎃 Julie Leech and Margaret Heron for donating prizes
🎃 Parents who donated prizes
Please keep an eye out for our next event..a bingo to raise funds for the Christmas party!
