To all our hard-working students and long-suffering parents—there were honestly a few tears of joy shed over those GCSE results! Whether you smashed your targets or just fell a little short, we couldn't be prouder of every single one of you. Seeing our leavers head off into the wild after all that hard work is always emotional.

​Thank you so much for all the lush cards, gifts, and kind words—it means the absolute world.

I was thinking, ​cards last months, flowers weeks, and chocolates last about three minutes in my case... but a review lasts a lifetime and helps other local families find us!

To the mothers of the children who:

fled the exam in a panic,

could barely cope with attending an exam centre,

resisted being taught because of trauma in school,

just managed a 1 after losing their dad,

got a 2 after having undiagnosed special needs,

needed a 4 for college but got a 3 and cried,

thinks they are useless because they only just ‘passed’ with a 4,

thinks they only got a 5 because they had extra time,

was predicted a 9 by an ambitious tutor, but got a 6 instead,

got a 7 but worries a lot about next year,

has a sister with a 9 but she only got an 8,

achieved a 9 but feels guilty that you spent all your money on exam fees,



to all the parents who scrimped for money

and neglected their own needs

and expended their time and patience in teaching

because their child deserved better,

let me just say,



‘Well done. You did your heroic best. We see you.’
