Little Lane’s Child minding

So today we were joined by Ofsted for our first ever graded inspection. I can’t give any details until our official report is published but I am very happy with how our day went! I would like to express my thanks to all my parents and children for making Little Lane’s the wonderful place that it is!
A huge thank you to Stuart, Jayden, Benjamin, Ivy and Jude for all their love, support and help over the past few years as I developed my venture and built Little Lane’s into what it is today!
I will leave you with the beautiful sign that Ivy made to welcome Ofsted into our home this morning!

Well after a wonderful, creative and fun term that’s it for this year! A huge thank you to all my families and wonderful children. I hope you all have the best Christmas and I look forward to seeing you all back in the New Year! Love from Beckie. Xx

Today we looked at Poppy Day. We made some Poppy shakers, talked about the colours of the poppy and then we used our shakers to sing songs together. We also watched the CBeebies “poppies” animation which is a short film following the animals of war and is aimed at young children.

We have made edible sparklers today and firework pictures.

Firework painting and then Halloween slime making for our last day of half term!

We had a great Halloween party today! Fancy dress, apple bobbing, eat the donut without using your hands, skeleton dancing and lots of Halloween crafts.

We went to find some snow dogs in Buxton today! And we found a great park too! The SNOWDOGS DiSCOVER BUXTON are around till the 15th of December and definitely worth a trip out to see them all.

Starting off half term with a spooky theme! Today we worked towards our Halloween badge!
The older children set up a skeleton themed tuff tray for the little ones to explore.
We listened to the funny bones story and then created our own scene.
We danced like skeletons to Halloween music.
We created a skeleton picture out of cotton buds.
We completed a skeleton picture puzzle and matched up the parts of the body.
We decorated our own gingerbread men into skeletons.
We played pin the bow tie on the skeleton.
Everyone worked so hard we all definitely deserved our badge at the end.

We had a very fun trip to the pumpkin patch today! Jude couldn’t work out why he was having to pose for a photo with a pumpkin, a cat, a vampire and a zombie. The little shouts of “cheese” coming from behind the sign was very cute! Xx

We had such a fun time making our very own scarecrow and delivering him to Adam's Happy Hens Farm Shop for their scarecrow festival.
